I bought two Blue Dream slabs from Altamont. One was loaded with color and the other had a really nice pattern. I laid out 3 preforms with each. The one with the pattern behaved and the colored one fractured. I redrew and got 2. Picture is what I dopped.

Thanks. Lapidary starts with material. I buy looking for material that has a great pattern. I was going to offer a webinar with Highland Park on buying lapidary material on the internet. I attended a webinar with them to discuss it. The reception was luke warm. I don't think they get it or it isn't a good fit with their agenda. I am more interested in design than cutting and design starts with finding great material.
