Well, this is my new kitty Huey's first Yuletide and, though we really tried to explain it to him, he still doesn't quite get the Santa Claws thing. May you all be blessed with the Joy, Love, and Anticipation of the season ;D cookie

That would make a wonderful picture for a Christmas card!
The cat looks so sweet & innocent sitting there. So tell me, has Huey tried to climb the tree yet? Or batted at any of the ornaments?
Here's wishing you & yours all the best of the Holiday Season!!!

Oh Yeah, Pebbles mister "have no fear" has been taught to leave the tree alone. Not by us (as far as he knows) but by the tree. A soon as we set it up, he came running from across the room and jumped into the middle of it. We got a water bottle and descritely began squirting him every time he went at the tree. He would run back and stare angrily at the tree, not us. He thought the tree was spitting on him, I guess. Now he just likes to lay under it and push the presents around the floor.

I can just picture that... a spitting tree & a perplexed cat!!! Glad he did his attack right away & not after it was all decorated & no one was around watching him.

CAUTION, POSSIBLY PG-13 COMMENT - OK, regarding mousenuts on an open fire... My husband likes to do some weekend gold prospecting so yesterday I ordered him a pouch made from a kangaroo scrotum. I know it sounds awful, but it's just like any other tanned leather except it doesn't have any seams inside so your gold flakes don't get hung up in the stitching. Unfortunately my daughter saw me ordering it and I heard her ask her dad, "why is mom getting you a scrotum for Christmas?" I thought I would die on the spot...
