I love fossil corals and shells from many locations. Have a pretty large collection of them. Some will be kept as is. Others will be or have been made into cabs or tumbled. Sharing a portion my most recent aquisition. captbob sent me a box that had some corals and a shell. I will be using some of these at my upcoming Rockhounding for Children and Families class. Some will be given to the children attending. Please share your fossil coral/shell finds. Share anything that is a fossilized aquatic species. Some of the corals: A fossil clam with honey calcite replacement from Ruck's Pit, Okeechobee, Florida. Bob, if you see this, please accept a huge thank you from me. Your gift will bring joy to many.

I have found some fossils from Lake Erie! I have zero idea what they are. And of course I’m out of town right now so I can’t take pictures.
I’ll have to see if any of my “traveling rocks” have fossils in them. Either way, I’ll try to remember when I get home to post a few pictures for you. Mine are ALL small. No where near the size of your beauties.

Most found on my land or local landscape/road rocks.

We have found lots of fossil shells along the banks of the Econfina Creek in NW FL, that we dug out from the bank.
They are from the "Chipola" formation.
I have posted them before.
What's interesting is some of them look like "modern" day shells.
But when you look closely they are not quite the same.
