Today was a play day. I had a piece of Owyhee rough that I had faced and decided to face the other end to see if something was usable and made a nice cab. I had some slabs that I drew some preforms. The first one fractured on the saw. I laid out a rectangle, trimmed and ground the preform. I dopped it and started doming. The dop came off and then the piece fell apart. The dop was holding it together.

rockhobbyguy: I am very heartbroken to hear Lortone is going out of business. My motor on my 45c just went out and needs to be replaced. Since theses are now seemingly unavailable for good, does anyone know of another brand of motor that would work with a Lortone 45c.
