Here is my saw. Iv'e had a few people ask me what kind I use. It seems to be the same one alot of us in here have. I think it does a good job on smaller rocks. One day we all will have a free standing Lortone 18" slab saw, for 2,500 bucks.

Thanx Edog! I like your splash reduction system a lot. Gotta do something like that for myself. Your saw is raised up on something. Are they boards under the whole saw or are they slats under the edges? Are they to make it easier to get the water pan out or to raise the saw to a comfortable level? I really like the slabs ON the saw also. It's just right now I'm all ga-ga over tools.
-I'm dreamin' about those slab saws too!!- -Yeah Parfive we should have gone in on a group rate and bought 50 of these saws!-

I got one too. Gotta make me a splash guard. Tired of trimming in my rain gear as the water all runs into my shoes...mel

Those slats are to level the saw so the water won't run to the front and onto the electric strip I have mounted to the work bench. I still wear a waterproof smock, my belly still gets wet pretty good. Then I have everything on the bench sitting on epdm rubber liner that was leftover from the pond.

Nice. Despite my best efforts the water always runs to my crotch. It's the one thing I really hate about sawing.

Oooooo earthdog, you and Red Green's handyman's helper have given me an awesome idea! I think Alice has one of these too.
