to make a silk purse from a sows ear. I got tired of working on good material so I thought I'd work on some bad stuff.
Butterfly wing without much color. I bought a piece of Jelly Bean and this was the best preform even with the vugs. I bought a piece of Morrisonite rough that was about as interesting as brown shoe polish. This was the best pattern I could find. I had an Owyhee slab that was brown on one side an blue on the other. I needed to guess how it would look ground down and domed.
