But you CAN shine 'em!! ;D I'm posting these as a new thread since they were originally posted in the mixing polish thread on the general rock board & will likely get overlooked. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1134703730&page=2This is a chunk of Leopardskin Jasper I got from my bro. Actually, it still belongs to my bro & he wants it back. No worries though, I have two of my own right now in there... Some spots shine quickly in TO (smaller darker ones) Some take longer (larger lighter ones) Here's a non-reflecting shot so you can see more of the pattern This piece came out of a mixed batch of different rock types & was polished in CO for about 6 days. Then it went into TO for two days before I snapped a pic of it to show how well TO was working on it. Maybe about 3 more days to finish I figure... CO did not shine the big light spots but did a nice job on the rest of the rock. After two days in TO, even the large spots are beginning to take a shine now.

Wow! That's looking real good for leopardskin. Better than I've ever got them to shine. Gonna have to try some of that titanium oxide polish.....mel

LCARS - Nice job on the pictures. That's exactly what I'm seeing trying to polish Kim's African green jasper.

Your leopard-skin turned out much better than mine. Mine was red/brown matrix with lighter coloured spots, but very little of anything took a shine, and I don't think any polish in the world could have turned mine around. I look forward to your end results.

Where did you get the leopardskin rough? It looks like very nice material. Susan
