It seems to be working great. I'm surprised how quiet it is. I've never been around one of these, will at least not for the last 50 plus years. I've been used to using a tile self. I'm also very pleased with how smooth the slab came off. It have clean a cut it is. This isn't a very big rock so maybe not a huge test, but the cut looks great.

I'm super glad the saw is working out for you! It was a heckuva deal...and I'm sure you're going to get some GREAT use out of that beast!

Glad your new saw is working nicely, rockbrain.
I started out with a tile saw too, and then moved up to a nice 10" MK Diamond saw,
the other day I thought I'd fire up the 7" tile saw, as I got a new blade for it from China, and figured it would do small stuff better.
Well let me tell you, once you get comfortable with the larger saw, you'll never look back. The larger saw turns slower, and I'm sure has a proper water system.
My 7" tile saw throws oily water in my face.
