I had a piece of piece of faced Painted Desert Owyhee. The lake in the middle only appeared on the face when I slabbed it. I was hoping that the subsequent slabs had a smaller lake but it disappeared. The lake didn't show at all on the back of the slab. As I expected as I ground the dome the lake would be smaller. It did and I will probably take it down some more.
