SO my 10 vacation comes to a close today. I cut some more goodies over the last few days. I was also able to "tidy" up the rock shop (no more boxes of rock sitting in the center of the room). Heck I even started to clean up around the cabber and may actually get some grinding done on the weekends! Anyway here are the slabs from the end of the week: THese are dry. Top is Pet wood- possibly Eden Valley? Middle red ones are a rock I found in a pile of stuff we were giving away (it came out of my wife's grandparent basement so no ID as they have long since passed). SOme kind of Jasper I think, and only 2 slices. THe rest of the stuff is more Burro Creek THe red swirled stuff was super nice, except it is all loaded with fractures and may just go in the tumbler. Wood close-up and wet Seems really solid for the most part. I may sell some of this. THe 2 red mystery slabs and the red swirled Burro Creek. THe rest of the Burro Creek. Still on the fence about this stuff. This might get sold as well.

That wood really stood out when it was dry in that first pic...then when you showed it wet, "POP"! A lot of activity going on in those pieces! My condolences on the end of the vacation...
