I finally got a break in the saw department today... I found a used tile saw for 5(!) dollars at an estate sale. Here's a before cleaning picture of it: After about two hours of deep cleaning and wire brushing. This thing was horrible!: Yup, that's right, I scored an original workforce: Some of the early victims: I am super happy to have the saw, and it came with the Dewalt blade jasoninsd recommended a while back as a little bonus! It is wobbly, but I'll be able to use it until I get to order another one. Thanks for looking, today has been awesome!! -Nicholas

Scoring always feels so good! Congratulations! Yes it does! I think the draw I pulled my wallet on could've beat any old west gunfighter! Thank you.

Good score! I have one like it and I love mine. I think you'll be happy with the results, especially for five bucks.

Looks great and much nicer to have one of your own.
and although it comes from China, it came relatively fast
Any chance it came with the fence ?
I was able to buy a sliding vice that I attached to mine.
Have fun,
Patty

I have an original work force! (as a matter of fact, I may have been the one to start the workforce trend!). I have 1000's of cuts on mine. I have worn out 5 blades completely (where they won't cut anything as all the diamond is gone). The saw still works and is not showing any sign of slowing done. I don't use it as much since I got my slab saw, but still pull it out when I need to chunk up some rock for the tumbler. Great deal you got there.

Thank you! Yes it is! The club saws are so full, this was a huge change. That blade looks nice, especially the "cheap" part. Sadly no fence or water tray, so I had to rig something up for the time being (anyone know where to buy a replacement tray?) And I like it. I will, thanks. -Nicholas

I haven't started any trends (yet) but have just been following others. That's awesome that it's still going. I'm hoping mine lasts forever. I can't really afford a new saw, so this'll do. I'm a tumbler as well, so I'll be sure to put it through it's paces for that as well. Thank you. Do you have any idea where I'd be able to find a new water tray for it? Mine was missing that, so I've improvised with aluminum foil for now.

I literally spent probably 5 hours of quality time with that saw yesterday. I HIGHLY agree that is was a great deal.

perkins17Great score! Did you slab the rocks in the last photo with it? You’ll get a lot of use out of that thing. They make great trim saws.

I hunted at my favorite hiking spot today and found a bunch of rocks to cut up with it. The last picture has some preforms I cut on it. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
