I like the cross between a facet and a dome! A domacet? While "juicy" isn't the word I was originally thinking when I saw the material...maybe Tela has the right descriptive word! LOL - Beautiful material and really awesome shapes!

Beautiful! Looks like old stock Marlborough Chrysoprase to me. It has that lovely blue green color. I agree with Tela, they're juicy!

Definitely old stock. It's very hard to find clean Marlborough nowadays. Hell, it was hard to find 10 years ago. Most of it is not that nice blue green and lots of brown inclusions.

Beautiful! Looks like old stock Marlborough Chrysoprase to me. It has that lovely blue green color. I agree with Tela, they're juicy! Thanks, and yep it’s Marlborough stuff. Not sure about which mine, but it was purchased and mined out within a year by a Chinese mining company about 25 years ago per seller. Nice cabs, material and interesting cuts. Lots of mythology in the gem trade though. Marlborough chrysoprase came onto the market over 60 years ago. If my memory is right the mine was purchased by a Hong Kong firm sometime in the 1970s or so. I bought beautiful cabs from them (they wouldn't sell rough) as recently as the early 2000's. Some of our Australian members might be able to provide a more specific chronology. They still might be in business but last time I checked the prices were very high. I still have a small amount of primo Marlborough rough. The beauty of that specific location is it generally lacks the truly frustrating tiny internal crystal vugs so often present in similarly-colored material from the same region of Western Oz. I've often been really frustrated to have one of them open up just as I'm finishing an otherwise flawless cab.
