I was moving some rocks around and a drum of Peruvian Pink Opal had the bottom fall out of it, so I had to pick it up and put it into another barrel with my trusty helper Alberta. As I was picking through it, I thought some of this would make cool tumbles so I filled up a sand bag with some of the smaller/chip pieces, I didnt weigh it but I am guessing theres about 30 lbs in the sack. $6 a lb until its gone. Have a great day..............Tony

catmandeweHi Tony Is this an advanced tumble? In other words should a novice not even try this? I'd like some but dont want to ruin it.

catmandeweHi Tony Is this an advanced tumble? In other words should a novice not even try this? I'd like some but dont want to ruin it. It is opal, it will tumble relatively fast so you want to check it every day, if you leave it for a week you might lose quite a bit of it. It does shine up easily using regular polish methods. I prefer to only do the rough grind in a rotary and then do the rest in a vibe tumbler so I cant really give polish advise for a rotary. Tony
