Just out of polish, could have left them in longer, but I couldn't wait. I wanted Christmas rocks. Oh, NO! Not more Botsawana agate... Bruneau Jasper ArkieLace Arizona chalcedony, collected near Safford, Duncan area and a stray NM moss agate. Love those New Mexico agates and p-woods! Merry Christmas! Susan

That loud thump you just heard is Bikerrandy fainting and hitting the ground hard after seeing those great Botswanas. I'm sure once he comes around he'll have something to say about his favorite agates. All of those rocks turned out great. I'm not too familiar with the Bruneau Jasper, but they sure look nice. From the shine, they look like they must be quite hard.

The Botswana came from www.superagates.com and has been rolling along since July (Randy sure did his faster with the the trim saw/vibe combination). Sabre - The Bruneau was purchased from www.thegemshop.com a while back. They still advertise it, on the expensive side @ $12.00 a pound. I have a couple of larger pieces I'm hoping to cab someday. The lace agate came from a member, arkierockhound, and is the stuff Stefan is always going on about. I tumbled mine. The Arizona chalcedony and the NM agates were self-collected. There's nothing I like better than collecting and I go as often as I can. Susan

Susan, Heck of a nice Batch. I especially like the Bruneau Jasper....lots of orbs! I have been unsuccessful several times on e-bay, but I'll have to try to be more aggressive after seeing your stuff. Thanks for sharing. Steve

Oh Susan, what a great batch! The Botswana's are great, but I love the whole batch equally. No need to leave them in longer, it's a Christmas miracle!

Hey Susan, I gues I'm a little behind in viewing these photos. Those look great! I can see some really nice "Wycked Wire" coming out of that.

Oh, Wow! I have to focus in on the Arizona chalcedony, since I collected about 60 pounds of it in November with fire agate inclusions. This stuff is majorly hard isn't it! It's taking me forever to get it shaped. The big question for me is whether to even try to get it shaped. You can lose a lot of the fire agate that way, can't you? I tried to look up information on how to handle this rough and found a website recommending tumbling it but allowing it to retain its natural gnarled shapes. I've polished some like that but I'm continuing to try to smooth some of them out. How long did you run those to get them that way? I'm hugely impressed. Did you lose a whole lot of rock along the way?
