My Johnson Bros 6” trim saw blade bit the dust today. A approx 2 section of the Diamond strip peeled right off the blade while cutting a stone. I didn’t realize the diamond is in a narrow strip that is bonded to the blade, I assumed the blade was one piece with diamonds imbedded in it. The blade wasn’t that old but I have been a little rough on it; cutting 1” plus diameter rocks up to fit in the tumblers.

Thank God that strip didn't go flying into YOU when it decided to let go!

Agree with Jason. You're really lucky that didn't fly off and hit you.

quartzilla - Some blades are sintered, some are plated. Good to know the JB blades are plated.
Sorry yours failed like that, but thanks for the heads-up on the JB blade.
