jasoninsd Beautiful as always Jason! Love that obsidian and the picture jasper. The sodalite has a great shine as does all the rest! Thanks Ashley! I don't think I'll ever get tired of that obsidian! LOL - This batch has a lot of material that doesn't allow for that "mirror polish" like we always want. When I first started cabbing, it really got me down when I couldn't get a material to shine like a hard agate or jasper. But I realized that there are just certain materials that just won't take that kind of polish without stabilization.

Beauteous! The colors on the bottom of the OB are outstanding. My favorites are the copper complex cabs, though. Gorgeous colors.

I wish those colors would've been throughout the whole Obsidian cab...dangit! LOL - I have loved Copper Complex's ever since I first saw them...I think it's the vibrant colors they can produce.

Great work on them all jasoninsd! Really great variety and hard to pick a favorite lol. Those 2 copper complex cabs are really nice and so are the 2 Holt ones, especially the second Holt one. Great job on framing the druzy in that one!!

Great job on framing the druzy in that one!! Thank you so much! As soon as I saw that druzy on that one Holt Canyon, I knew it had to try and make it upfront and center. I meant to tag RockingRuralMo as we had talked about druzy pockets in cabs...

Dang jasoninsd, every single one of those is a beauty. I literally "woahed" at every sing one. I'm going to cab again this weekend after I can use my contacts again. Great job on every one of those. I'm still trailing (at a distance) your skill.

Some stones just won't take a glassy polish, regardless of of the lapidarist's determination.

Amazing cabs Jason! I've always liked rainbow obsidian and the Mexican velvet stuff is like rainbow on steroids. If I had to pick one it'd be the agate with the vug. Love how the vug mimics the cab shape, but the red stuff happening at the top with the water clear agate and amazing shine just makes it.

Thanks for the tag. They all look great, but I really like how you captured and featured the druzy. I hope you're able to get more out of it.

Dangit. Now I have to go make some cabs. BRB As always. Nice work my friend Thank you brother! This is what happens when I take a day off from doing the siding and windows on my folks house! LOL - Heck, you've been doing more cabs than me here recently! Dang jasoninsd , every single one of those is a beauty. I literally "woahed" at every sing one. I'm going to cab again this weekend after I can use my contacts again. Great job on every one of those. I'm still trailing (at a distance) your skill. Thanks Perk! Perk, you are getting better and better every time you make a cab! Your improvement is VERY noticeable! Now...if we can just get you to figure out how to take some decent pictures, we could all see JUST how much you're improving on your cabs! Jason, a person has got to know their limitations, lol. Some stones just won't take a glassy polish, regardless of of the lapidarist's determination. You know...I was always the type of person who believed I could do anything I set my mind to. Then...I tried walking through a revolving door with a pair of skis on my shoulder. That's when I realized there are limitations for everyone! LOL (Okay...that didn't really happen...but you get my point! LOL) Amazing cabs Jason! Thank you so much! If I haven't said it enough, you really are doing some amazing work on the wheels! Not only your pattern selection for your cabs, but the shapes you've been working are stellar...not to mention your polish! I did select that shape for that vug cab specifically for the shape of the vug...thanks for catching that. Thanks for the tag. They all look great, but I really like how you captured and featured the druzy. I hope you're able to get more out of it. Thanks Dave! I've got some pieces for JamesP next in queue...then I've got some more pieces for you lined up to do after. That Holt Canyon really worked better than I was hoping. There's a good variety of orange and red throughout that piece. I still feel horrible about that GYPP...but I do have some (hopefully) good looking pieces set to work on.

It's always hard to pick a favorite, you come up with some pretty nice rocks Jason,
and bring out the features in each really well.
Looks like a productive day off !

I know I need to get better with pictures, but I'm really lazy about using the good camera. I've found (most of) the problem, so I really do need to do that. I'll see about making some more soon. I've really stocked up on preforms for winter so I'll be able to crank em out once it cools off. By cools off, I really mean slips below 100! At least in the winter I can use a space heater, which *definitely* happened last year...

Thanks Patty! It was a much needed day off...now I need a couple more as the cabbing yesterday just started the feelings of addiction again! LOL Beautiful! Love some of those cool shapes! I like the azurite and deschutes best. Thanks Tela! When I saw your Biggs you posted the other day, I chuckled as this one was SO similar in material and shape! LOL I forgot to mention, nice photography too! Awww...Thanks! They're definitely not as good as some people's pics...but they're taken on my kitchen table with me holding my cell phone and a floor lamp pointing at the rocks! LOL All these cabs look amazing, but that obsidian is off the charts! Thanks Byron! I don't think I'll ever be able to get even with my sister for all that rough...nor do I think I'll run out of it anytime soon! LOL Great job (as always)!! I can't really pick a favorite, they're all beautiful! Thank you so much! I thought I was going to put the Copper Complex uptop...but the more I look at the pics of those Holt Canyon, the higher up the list their going. LOL Thank you brother! This is what happens when I take a day off from doing the siding and windows on my folks house! LOL - Heck, you've been doing more cabs than me here recently! Thanks Perk! Just sayin'...
