Thanks Kim. That first one is a picture jasper. I've got about 8 more pieces cut from that slab and they are all very cool in their own way.

Awwww Ed you do such a beautiful job, your wife is going to love those earrings. How the heck do you guys make the cabs stay in the silver?

Ed: Maybe my monitor color is off but the right hand pendant in the last pic looks to me like the pink on red form of Hornitos Poppy Jasper, not rhodonite. All my rhodonite is more or less pink on black or gray. Nice job on all those cabs and love the blue lace agate ...mel

Those stones look great Ed. What are the earrings made of? Is that blue quartz? I like it.

Hi all. Thanks for the encouragement. Cher: those mounts are called cinch mounts and all you do is under-size the cab slightly, then squeeze the top together around the stone. Sabre: You may be right as the stone is a deep burgundy color with pink orbs. The cab in third pic is Rhodonite. Joe and Sands: The earrings are blue lace and they now have silver bell caps and ear hanger thingys on them. BamBam:each cab takes anywhere from 45min-1 hr. I'm still practicing.

Stoner
Those blue lace pieces will be fantastic in Earings. Your wife will go nutzo when you give them to her.
Where did you get the findings for the pendants, I've got several cabs I'd want to put on chains.
Thanks
Pete

Hi Pete. I buy the findings at my local rock shop, but a good place to get them online is RioGrande.com.
