Someone looking at the two pieces I wrapped last night would probably find it hard to believe that I like simple jewelry. I don't like wire wraps that have lots of swirls and flourishes! I don't know what happened!

You seriously have some amazing artistic talent! Both of these are amazing...but that first one is off the charts gorgeous! I think it's VERY well done!!

Great wraps! I'm a simple wrap person, too, but that first one is awesome. The second one is more sedate, but you made that rockin' rose on the front. Outstanding work! I think you'd really enjoy weaving. Not a lot of curly stuff and the like, but the weaves are intricate.

A lot going on there, but it looks well put together with flowing lines.
The thing is, that YOU might like simple jewelry, but I have a strong suspicion that YOU won't be wearing these pendants And there seems to be a lot of women that do like all the swirls, so I bet they are sell-able.

rockbrain - I've come back several times to admire these pieces...the first one in particular! I really can't say enough how in awe I am of your artistic ability and creativity! You've improved exponentially in such a small span of time...it's really amazing. You're definitely headed in the right direction!

Standing out from the crowd is a real challenge but, seriously, these look to me like you could be on you way to developing a unique style. The stone has doesn't have to be the only hero as long as there's a strong relationship with the setting. Well done!

Thanks to all of you so much for all the kind words. It's inspiring! ashley thanks Ashley. I always appreciate your comments. Pat I did have a good time! @mohs too much caffine is definitely a possibility. I'll try and balance it better with Jack and Coke. rockjunquie thanks! I was following a tutorial on this one but I was drawn to that flowing design. jasoninsd thanks, I always appreciate the encouragement from you. hummingbirdstones Thanks! I was actually thinking about jumping some more into weaving this weekend. I think I'll start with the woven bail tutorial that posted on here. liveoak , you're absolutely correct Patty. I won't be wearing them. I actually like these both of these wraps. I have a few I've done that I don't like. I posted a moss agate one that has curly q's all over the top and I think it's just plain ugly. I told my wife the other day that someone will love it. Of course it's a lot more enjoyable making thinks that you love! opalpyrexia , thanks Gary from Gary. My wife and I have commented in the past about some wraps that just take all the attention from the stone. I have some beautiful stones but I also have a lot that aren't one of a kind, heart stopping beautiful. I still think they can look nice even if it's as an accent. I still obviously have a lot to learn and imagine this is the kind of thing where I always will. I've by necessity been following a lot of tutorials but venture out on my own whenever I can. Some of these ventures have been good and some not so good, but I've learned loads from all of them. I saw the tutorial for the first piece. I liked the flow, and looking through the video realized that it was really all quite easy to do. Plus it was a tutorial for a triangle stone and I've had this one waiting since before I started wrapping. Of course I was familiar with how it looked before I started but guess I got immersed in the wrapping. I was real suprised when I got to the part about attaching the bails. Once I had got going, for most of the time doing the wrap I thought the bail was going on the other end!

I thought I posted yesterday, but it looks like I neglected the last "button." I think they're great! I'm also in the "less is more" camp, but not everyone is--and it's always fun to try out something new. Good on you!
