When a cab it is dropped, it ends up a long way from where it is expected to be found or it is never found.
Not just flying off a wheel or polishing pad.

It isn't unusual for a cab to go missing. The more cabs, the more missing. My living room area was badly cluttered. Our rooms are used differently than designated. The dining room/ family room is where are only couch is located. The living room contains a dining table and sideboard. The sideboard had a bunch of Riker boxes containing cabs sitting on top. I've been working on that room, tossing and relocating stuff. The sideboard is on wheels and I was able to move it to the center of the room and see what treasures were under and behind it. Surprisingly there were no cabs. I found a nice preform and a small template. Maybe they will be in another room hiding and waiting to be discovered.

It’s fun to rediscover lost items. I’d like to rediscover a few things!

Corollary #1: The more valuable the cab, the longer it will take to find it.
Corollary #2: If you set the cab down because you suddenly have something more urgent to do, on your return you discover that it's missing where it should be.

Reminds me of the time I took some very large and nice pieces of Carey to show a guy in town. Later when I went to retrieve them out of the box, they weren’t with the rest of the items. Panic ensued. A few days later, I found them in the trunk of my car. Never remembered takin them out and placing them there.
