Sorry that I jumped ship for a while. It is a long story, but I will give you a condensed version, I had the right half of my thyroid removed on the April 16th. There was cancer, but they got it all and have clear margins so there is no further treatment necessary, although i will be having blood work to make sure that the left side is producing adequate hormones. Feeling better all the time.

Sorry that I have been mia, life just seems to get in the way. I had both knees replaced 4 years ago January 14th, I found out 3 weeks ago that they have been recalled, what a downer, lol. Then last week I found a lump on my thyroid, I had a biopsy to see if it's cancer, still waiting on results, should hear by Tuesday. Do you know who the vendors were for the implants?
I wish you luck on the thyroid-been there and done that
I'm 5 years cancer free (knock on wood) (stage 4 papillary cancer).
I am a wealth of information so if you have any questions about it feel free to ask

I agree with holding off until January, it makes a lot of sense, although there might be a bit of a slow down with quartzite, it is better 1 delay then 2.

I know a couple of master intarsia makers who use 10 minute epoxy, waxpaper, a toothpick, a heat bulb (in an articulating lamp) and get an entire intarsia completed in a couple of hours.
Sounds like this process it a lot more entailed.

I like the 50/50 box. The slab side would not have to be just slabs, it could include cabs, rough and performs, settings and chain, ect. similarly, the tumbling side could include grit, rocks, polish, bails for tumbled stones.
I like that idea.

here is an update ....I am still here.......been delayed a bit.....wife fell and broke her arm monday..been a bit busy with that.....I will have pics in a couple more days ....should be able to get the box moving in about a week.....thanks for the patience everyone....... Oh no, take care of your better half! Hope all is well. I know how horrible it can be when you not all of your parts function like the should. I will keep you guys in my prayers.
