Looks like I'm workin', so have a great time and I'll try to make it another time. I'll probably get up to the south Cadys next month. Looking forward to the pictures!!!

I've been trying to negotiate the Saturday off from work, but it's not looking promising. It's the last day of a month's long project that I'm in charge of. Ironically, Friday and Sunday are open, but not the middle day.

Pretty good shine for a first run. My first ones looked like flat paint. Which reminds me, got to go back and redo all those ugly ones...
Nice start!!!

Hey Scott
When you guys make the pre-run, can you let us know if we need something taller than a regular 4x4. I have an Explorer 4x4 that's stock, but has been in as far as the sagenite area, Pepto Bismol Hill, etc. As long as we don't need a high lift truck I'm okay. There's supposedly a "new" collecting area in a large valley on the west side of the wash that runs north/south. Haven't been there yet.

Just changed my vote to the Nov 15 weekend. GemDiego is the first weekend of November, and I'm sure to score something cool there. Usually a good source for slabs and such, like any show...
Now I have to convince my wife that going to the desert the weekend before our anniversary is a good plan....hehehe.

Scott: Will do. Probably won't get out much until winter. This is usually my time to make cabs, but I haven't even had time for that. LOL Rockpickerforever: Hey, maybe we'll meet up in the Cady's.

socalagatehound "football" or "throwball" taking the fields away? I thought you said you coached football?? What school do you teach at? I coach at El Capitan High School in the eastern part of San Diego County. Right next to the Lakeside Rodeo grounds.

Hi all
I'm fairly new to this forum but not new to the Cady's north and south. Been to a few of the basic places on the north end, and made 20 or so trips to the south. I'm in, sort of. I coach High School soccer and we start in early November. We sometimes have tryouts on Saturday's based on field availability if the fall sports make playoffs (read "football"...haha)....sooooo, if no tryouts, I'm all over it. I'll just monitor the thread and keep my fingers crossed.

Hi all
New to the forum...That second one looks like China Hollow Biggs. From the same area as Biggs Jasper but much of it won't take a glassy polish. Has great patterns, though...
Love all your cabs from both posts. The Noreenas are killer! And that glassy Petrified wood!!!
