Fresh off the saw. One side and the other. Showed it to a friend and she said jesus and mother Mary. To me it looks like Jesus on one side and something hatching out of an egg on the other.

Good luck, they like to oil their stones to hide the flaws. Look at their hands if they are holding the material. If they look shiny it's oil off the stones. Start small.

Nice haul there! Isn't it true what they say? The one with the most toys in the end, wins!! Well if that's the case I must be getting close to the end

I like this also. Purple is nice and dark. The wrap fits your stone shape perfect.

Great càbs and a great thread all together. Here are two cabs made from Greigs material. Not much calcite in it. But you can see little plumes in them. greig crystalized silver?

Those look great! dod you do anything special to keep the crystal in the geodes' cavities to not disappear in the process? Is it possible to polish geodes like this in a rotary tumbler and still have some interesting material left in the geode cavities? I have a couple of small geodes I would like to tumble in my rotary tumbler but I am afraid I will ruin them and what's inside. Apologies if I use the wrong terminology. It was either this ir "balls" and "holes" ! Mine just filled up with smalls. I believe I read on this forum one time you could fill them with wax. Not sure how you would get the wax out. What ever you pack them with can't be water soluble, but also has to be able to disolve with something that won't leave any residue to ruin the crystals. Might be a good start for a thread, someone here has an answer for you.

What's left looks great! Ouch on the loss. There were some nice greenstones to. What's left I might crush up and make an inlay ring.

I don't usually show off any tumbles. I was taking odd the crust in some MI green stones. I filled the tumbler with smalls, thomsonite, greenstone and the kitchen sink. I tumbled them (vibe) with 500 for a few days pulled out a few then added some polish and let it go for 4 days. Well the 150 dollars of greenstone disappeared as did some of the softer thomsonite. Here's what's left

Gary, two sweet rings. I can sympathize about the bending the long way, beat into submission I say. Nice work! That second opal sure is flashy.
