OK, here's my absolutely favorite very unconventional Christmas song.
I think Tom and I both can't help singing the chorus .
Santa Claus -Do You Ever Come To The Ghetto By Carlene Davis
DH just stumbled out of bed and was like... I like that song! He really likes Reggae.

Technically this is not a Christmas song and it's a bit melancholy but I was reminded as they played it several times yesterday at the Craft Show along with all of the Holiday music. My favorite from a very special person. This one played pretty close behind it one of new favorites here around the house; Great tunes! Yes, Dolly is a very special person. Who doesn't love Dolly? I love her voice and philanthropy.

It's hard to believe that tune is so old. Very nice and always good in a mix.

HankRocks - Two great choices!! Dolly is such an amazing singer...but more importantly, an amazing soul! Her Christmas movie, "Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love" is such a feel good movie for Christmastime! We bought it on DVD so we would always have it. Son Of Beach - I almost posted that one too...but we have a Taco John's restaurant that has that song playing in their commercials...so it's getting played every dang commercial break on the radio right now...thus "overplayed"! LOL

Some is OK, but I hate when they start playing Christmas music on the radio before Thanksgiving, then we have to listen to the same songs over and over until Christmas is over. Totally agree. Before Thanksgiving? NO. We went to the store on Halloween afternoon to pick up a bag of candy for the little trick-or-treaters. The Halloween aisle had been cleared out and all treater candy was moved to just one side and they were actively stocking Christmas items!!! Ugh. Surprised they weren't already playing the music but I wouldn't be surprised if it started the next day.

I'm working my way through listening to the music you all have posted. Here is a new Crooner that may be unknown to most of you. He got his start as the Singing Busboy in a local restaurant. One Christmas eve my husband called him at the restaurant and convinced him to meet him at a gas station after work so he could buy a copy of his first album/CD as a Christmas gift for me. "DH" believes Christmas eve is "man day" and that's when he does any and all shopping. :-) This "kid" has got a great voice and I love that he's continuing this genre of music. This link here isn't a Christmas tune as he doesn't have much presence on YouTube. He does have a Christmas album on his website. I'd recommend any of his albums though, if you are looking for new Crooner music.

rockjunquie Yep, Let Them Know It's Christmas definitely falls into my like list. Thanks for the Christmas station, I'll check it out. Seattle used to have a smooth Jazz station. It was really nice for all year and especially the holiday months. My fave go to work listening station. It went away, as all good things do, for something "modern" which now just sounds like every other station on the radio.

Greg Lake has a nice voice Haven't heard that in a hot minute! Thanks! I always liked it.
ETA- Had to wiki him and see what he's doing. Sadly he passed, but I learned that he wrote "Lucky Man" when he was 12 and was with King Crimson at like 17 before he joined ELP. Impressive.
