I am new here and I saw this thread (?) and I thought,"oh! some one might be able to help me!"--I believe I have a meteorite . How can I post a picture in order to get feedback?

I have long known about this. A geologist in Australia learned that also earth quakes shatter silica bonds and ground water grabs those bonds and makes silica gel, which changes to agate.

I have long known about this. A geologist in Australia learned that also earth quakes shatter silica bonds and ground water grabs those bonds and makes silica gel, which changes to agate. Never heard that one, but I do know that meteorite impacts and powerful earthquakes do create shocked quartz. That is one of the indicators we look for in some meteorites. In thin section under cross polarization, the shocked glass goes extinct.
