I never knew her, but by the look of her profile she was a prolific. It also showed that the last time she logged on was May 8, 2010, so even though her last post was in October of last year, she still dropped in. The website in the profile is still up and running, though I don't know if it is being monitored. www.mnironrange.com/index.htmI mention this because there is a guestbook that you can write a message in if you so desire. It's an open one so anyone can read it, so if you have something to tell the family that they would like hearing, that might be the place to put it. Lowell

Awwww, Condolences to Cher's family. I met Cher many years ago, not here, but on an African Violet forum. She posted some of her wire wrapped pendants there and I was so excited as I had never seen anything like them. I can absolutely attribute my interest in wire work to those original wraps she posted. You will be missed Cher.

Cher was one of the early angels/stars on this site when I discovered it several years back. She was one of the nicest people I never met. Always a kind word and beaucoup encouragement, especially for newbies. Not to mention a fine talent when it came to the stones. Her family can take solace in the fact that she touched a lot of people through the ether. This world may be poorer for her loss, but is so much better through her presence.

i type this with tears in my eyes....she became a good friend to my son....she talked to him some when his grandfather passed....his grandfather was a war hero....he and i considered cher a war hero also for all of her bravery and determination to try and lick the cancer.

Matt, you very nicely put many of our thoughts into an elegant prose. Cher will be missed by many, but as you said, we were all blessed by her.
Gary, we all hope to 'meet' you here. Know that your mum wsa loved by many she never personally met.
