Hello, I have a Star Diamond model T-6 Trim saw in rough shape that I would like to give to someone on this site who doesn't have a trim saw. And has enough handyman/handywoman in them to refurbish this one. As can be seen in the photos there is a good bit of rust. You will need a couple of flange washers (available from Covington) to go on each side of the blade, a new 6" diamond blade, a 1/4hp - 1/2hp 1725 rpm electric motor, a couple of pulleys, a wire brush or coarse steel wool, and elbow grease. All I want from whoever accepts this saw is for them to pay actual shipping costs to their location. First one to post a request for this saw on this thread gets it. Best Regards, Larry Cashatt

Hello, I also forgot to mention that you will need either some leather, cork or rubber gasket material to go between the base and cutting table top.

What a generous offer! I could use a trim saw, but my mechanical skill is at 0% . I'm sure someone would love it tho!!! Really sweet of you to offer!

What a beautiful gesture! WTG!
And, despite the rust, it looks very sturdy and shows great potential for a long time from now on.

Actual shipping, Which is whatever the post office charges. My guess would be $15-$417.50 but I won't know for sure until it's packaged.

Since Helen spoke up first, I'll take it, fix it up and send it off to Helen if that works?
Of course I will pay for shipping to me.
Helen, If you want it after I have fixed it up and made it look purty, just pay for the shipping from me to you.

Steve... I am floored and completely gobsmacked by the offer (and since I talk a lot, that's saying a lot:P). But I know saws are really expensive, that's a huge huge burden you are taking on. I'm in Florida, which means I can't send you lots of rocks, we don't have any good rocks here. If you change your mind at any time, keep the saw, the offer alone had really cheered me up about people's kindness:)!!

That is a really great thing going on here. It`s good to have it reinforced from time to time that there truly are some unselfish people left in this world. A wonderful gesture from both Quailriver and Getyourbone. Helen the rock gods have smiled upon you! RTH`rs really do rock.

Burden? It gives me reason to stay motivated. God knows my job doesn't do that.
