Gotta say I wish Kerry and Obama had talked with one another before all their speeches so the administration and our country didn't come off looking weak and ridiculous. ( though to some extent that ship sailed when Obama was re-elected) That being said, I'm glad they took a step back before taking any kind of action that could precipitate a Middle East firestorm. We need debate on the subject and IMHO he needs congressional approval. I hope he does not get congressional approval and I hope our dumbass congress folks pay attention to the American people about 90% of whom, according to polls, think we should sit this one out and just let the freaking Syrians slaughter each other.
All this total crock about how we are required to step in is just BS. We've sat by when numerous atrocities and genocides occurred in Africa where millions were killed. Iraq and Iran used illegal chemical weapons on each other repeatedly in their conflict, and in Syria, Obama has sat around while over a 100,000 died by conventional weapons. Only reason Obama wants to get into it now is to save face after all his speechifying and to make an incompetent weakling with foreign policy that has totally failed ( him) look like a tough guy now that he's drawn his supposed "red line". The whole idea h of some limited surgical attack he and Kerry have put forth is the most motarded thing I've ever heard. It's roughly comparable to a dumb kid kicking a beehive when dared to do so by his stupid buddies......Mel

I agree. So what would you say Obama could do to improve his image and seem more the 'cowboy' you'd admire? Fire some missiles at Syria? Because I don't think ANYTHING Obama does would make you happy with him... am I wrong?

I thought Helen put you on probation Billy. I was thinking that antagonistic comments and opinions could be challenged. I guess that amendment has been put on hold, nomofreedom for you Billy. If the libs could get rid of congress and their right to speak freely and unchallenged then everything would go their way. Lets get bail-donations please!

Don't worry James, we have liberal mandated laws up up here. I told them that my feeling were hurt in grade 3 when I was the first to sit down in the spelling bee. And didn't get a trophy like the winner did. Haunts me to this day.

I've been reading that the russians are building a large force ready to attack Saudi Arabia as soon as we attack Syria. It hasn't been verified but shit aint looking good.

And now i'm sure we'll get the 'they'd never do that' arguments. Guess we'll find out. If Congress votes against the attack, then Obama decides to do it anyway with 9% approval that's just total BS. And it's certainly looking like a 'go' with the position and movements of warships.

I liked this comment from the article: "Yep, it was the Seals who got bin Laden, not Obama. On the other hand, when George "Mission Accomplished" Bush said, "Dead or Alive," he meant to go after bin Laden himself."
LMAO!!

*L* It must be nice to be Obama and have Biden as impeachment insurance. No matter how dumb he acts, no one wants to dump him as dumber is waiting in the wings.....Mel

A lot of good reading there. Taken from the above link. Let me insert one final informative quote from AP news on the gross gas gag, just below. Speaking of inserting, why don't you ram a Hienz long neck ketchup bottle firmly up your bony ass John. By the way, instead of windsurfing wanker wonder-boy, if you had indeed intercepted specific Syrian intel regarding the immanent deployment of chemical weapons, three days in advance of their use, as you fervently have claimed, why the eff did you fail to warn your beloved freedom fighters, so they could have taken proactive measures to protect the soon to be poisoned innocent women and children? Mel, uncle Joe and Barry are like 2 peas in pod. I don't think it would matter who is in charge. You would get the same result.

Yep, the military industrial complex and all it's store bought politicians on both sides ( not just Republicans as Helen would have you think. She's already preparing her speeches on why this is all the Republican's fault and her king who started it all is blameless *L*) of the aisle are really beating the war drums now. I find it odd the reason they are giving is, the Syrians might us chemical weapons against us or provide them to terrorists if we don't chastise them. Yet, they say they have no plan to secure such weapons and they can't bomb them for fear of causing a chemical spill of lethal toxins. Now what do you think the Syrians will do after we attack them? Why, they'll use them against us and our allies or provide the unsecured chemical weapons to terrorists who will use them against us to punish us for our attack. It's like Obama and Kerry are the stupidest pair of dumbasses in the world. In what strange science fictional world does attacking someone and pissing them off make them less likely to strike out at you by any means possible when the still have the weapons to do so? It's sounding like the administration not only has no real reason for an attack, but that the attack is also going to be much larger, disorganized and extensive than they initially stated, at least if hawks like McCain and Kerry have their way ......Mel
