It is still on the pallet in my truck. It weighs 320 pounds and I will have to have help getting it out.
It is too dark to take pics, but it looks good so far. Also looks like all I will have to do is put the belt on and fill it with oil to get it going.

How much does a 20 inch blade cost and how long does it last? How much oil to fill it and how long does the oil last and how often do you need to top the oil off? I want a big saw bad! LOL Congratulations on getting a very nice big saw!!!!

It looks ready to run. I'm guessing you will want a larger shield on the blade. In the motorcycle world your blade shield would be constitute a bobber. It will definitely throw oil toward the back of the hood. Happy cutting. Tom

It runs, it cuts great, but it keeps blowing the circuit. I will have to let things cool down. Then I will have to make sure no one is running anything on that circuit.

Might have a short in the cord or connections.
Ask me how I know!
Mine did!

I thought you were getting a fancy new one but you did way better than that with a nice broken in one. Way to go. Jim

My HP 24 ran OK on 120 volts on a 20 amp circuit. I think it had a 1 1/2 hp motor. If you have an amp meter (Harbor Freight has them for $10-$15) you can see if you are over amping. If saw was stored a long time (or not) blow out any air vent holes on the motor and look for any signs of oil ports. Oil if there are oilers. You can also remove the motor belt and spin the motor shaft by hand. Feel for drag, roughness, or side to side play.

looks great if the blade is dull it could cause that problem cut something small or something soft and see if that happins if so the motor could be worn out!also check were the motor is wired some motors can be wired 110 or 220 its possiable that it was wired wrong that has happined to me once

I figured it out. The freezer is on the same circuit. When it kicked in, the breaker would go. Anyway, I had to play with it. You know I did. I cut a chunk of MT Diamond country rock, but it was unremarkable, so I pitched it. Here is a slice of Brenda jasper(or is it agate)that I cut. I found the rock on my last trip.

Motor could just be getting old and drawing too much current. Is it one that will allow brush replacement? Check your rating on the motor, you circuit should be able to handle it easily. My 20 inch uses only 8 or 9 amps.

Well, I though I had it figured out. I am 3/4 of the way through a 7 inch chunk of mushroom and it keeps kicking the breaker. It will rum forever if the feed is not engaged, but once it hits rock, it balks and blows. This house is set up with 15 amp circuits. I don't like it one bit. It is also set up weird as one room will half blow and so will another.
I have an idea for an experiment.
