It sounds like you've got your priorities in order and that you're where you need to be, orrum. I'll say a prayer for your mother, yourself, and the rest of your family. God bless you all.

Hello everyone! I thought I would tell yall about my Mommy. She became unable to function with Parkinsons to the point that my Daddy could not care for her and went into a nursing home. She then had a operation for a infection on her arm and just stopped moving with organ failure. They put her on support for a few days and then Daddy and we plus she indicated that she wanted to go natural. She is a tough woman and is hanging on. I am here for the duration. Then we take her to where we grew up in the hills of Va.I left Chips my horse and Mic the dawg in Wickenburg with the Effus Ranch. Sorry to miss yall in Q for YONYS BBQ but I am where my heart directs me.... orrum I'm sorry to hear this man. 2 years ago my dad (who has Parkinson's and was being cared for by my mom) had a bad episode and had to go into full time care at a nursing home. He's in and out since then, it's been hard on my mom as he doesn't always recognize her (there are other things going on besides Parkinson's) Safe travels and best wishes to you, your mom and your family. It's a tough time so I'll be thinking of you all and praying for your family.

The journey continues for me.
Mommy passed away last nite in the Sumter SC hospital after a long battle with Parkinsons. She went peacefully, she just stopped breathing. She was a tough lil lady. She went 14 days after all support was stopped. I feel she stayed to be sure her family did not need to travel in the record noreaster winter storm. Also so we all had a chance to come to terms with her situation. Now she will travel to Saltville Va our homeplace for her funeral. We shall precede her to prepare. So the wheels turn on that grand ribbon of asphalt that seems to call her only son onward in his life as a rubber tire tramp.....

So very sorry to hear that Bill. When my mom passed we also took her back to her hometown to be buried right on top of a mountain. Only 30 miles from Saltville in McClure VA. Beautiful place but wish I could visit more often.

A prayer lifted to you and your family Bill, along with my deepest condolences.
Very few things in life are more important or shape us as much as our mom. Cherish the memories.
