Hello friends, I am heading out from my home in NC on Nov 2 for Arizona. I will be traveling Interstate 20 to Atlanta and then heading northwest to Interstate 40 west. I am eventually going to land in Quartzsite/Wickenburg Az for the winter and then head north to Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon etc and then east to home. This year I will be traveling with Mic the Hangin Tree Stockdog and my old stallion Chips. He was castrated this spring at the ripe old age of 18. I intend to make Jamesp my first stop, if he agrees, for several reasons. One is that this will be the shakedown cruise of the trip. I figure James can help me fix anything that's wrong or not going right! LOL. Notice I have not yet asked James yet! Second Jamesp has lots of nice coral!!!!! Yee haw! Beg, borrow, steal! I need layovers along Rt 40. Places where I can unload the horse and camp. My pickup camper is self contained and Chips pickets quietly to the trailer or a hi line between two trees or a tree and the trailer. We only need a little space. If you would like to volunteer your property or your neighbors please do so and give me a shout? I don't mind leaving Rt 40 to a layover. Also if you know places that I can layover please let me know. I have found a couple state parks etc that allow horse camping. I will have my tools and would happily teach anyone how to do Hillbilly Wire Twisting, it's a form of Cold Forge Wire Wrapping. Thanks all!!! Err uhhh say James how but a layover old friend. buddy, pal... LOL I love RTH

I don't think that it is necessary to let James know that you're coming. He seems the kind that loves surprises.
just sayin'...
sorry Florida isn't on your route
Hope you have a great and SAFE trip. And learn how to post pictures damn it - we wanna see!

If ya come thru northern South Dakota on your way back east, I have 4 acres just north of the house ya can set up on. Plenty of alfalfa / field grass mix for your horse to graze on too.

If you enter the "@" symbol in front of their username it sends them notifications that they have been tagged in a post.

Definition 'tagged ?', hope Vaseline is not required. If you can get down my driveway orrum, you can set up in luxury. Drive is a bit rough, how long is your rig and does it have 4 wheel drive ha ? UPS comes down here about 3 a week if that says anything. I'll warn the gun tower. Got deer hunters Nov 6-14, that should not be a problem. Bring it on Bill.

Dang! I want a horse like that. Might come up a couple of fingers short if I tried to give it a carrot though *L*. Sure give old Flash the longhorn a good scare though, if he tried to chase me like he does sometimes....Mel

Pet T-Rex is named Chips, I can't wait for Mic the Hangin Tree Stockdog to meet those crooked haired hounds of yours! Maybe finally something that can run him out of energy!

Orrum, we are just off of I-40 in the Holbrook Ariz. area. We have a couple of appointments in November out of town but, if'n we're here when ya come thru you can pull up at my house and streach some pony's legs. Heck, we might go find some pet wood too if'n you have room for it.
