I was just contacted by a managing editor to be featured in Belle Armoire magazine. A very nice magazine. I have always turned down offers, but I am considering this one because they specifically liked one of my metal settings.
What I am wondering is- have any of you been featured and what did you think of the experience?

I'm no help, as I've never even sold anything I've made (haven't tried), but I do want to offer my congratulations!

Should be a positive experience. I don't see any down side... unless you think it might make you too busy? I think that would be a good thing!

Thanks Jean. I guess what I am thinking is that I am more known for wrapping and they specifically like my metal work. That will put me in the position to do more, I would think. Not that I can't. I dunno. Confused.

Go for it! Utilize the feature as advertising. Include information on how to contact you. Have a bunch of creations ready for buyers.

Thanks y'all! I guess I'll email her back and get the details sorted. I'll include pictures of my bezel settings, too.

Well, I emailed her and said all the nice stuff, included some pics of the soldered stuff, told her that I cut most of my cabs and that I mostly do wrapping. I asked for the details.

You guys are both the best, I am a bull in a china shop compared to both of your clean lines. The Maw sit sit is off the chart, one of my favorite. Hard to find good material, looks super in gold. OH! and congratulations are in order.

Congrats. The only downside might be drawing attention to the possibility that 'loot' might be had at your place. Not to put the frighteners on you of course. Last week I saw an article in the local news for a burglary and that the jewellery might be identifiable. The photos were clearly taken during construction, which made me wonder if publicity had brought the thieves.

I am pretty careful not to put my real name out there, though.
