Oh shoot, the Mad River is in Madagascar. I don't have enough time off to ride there. Love that "Mad River" agate, but at $10.00 a pound around here,I kind of leave it be,unless it draws me to it,in some way...LOL Mike did you see the price I paid at the show?? Cheapo. They said they would be in Tucson, probably Quartzite. Don't think a lot of people at the Denver show knew what it was. An almost full tote but they had to break down on Friday night and cut their show short because of another event scheduled. I might could look up the map of the building and see what their name was but don't think we could easily find them. Did find some nice ammonites and will see what they look like inside. Look agatized from the outside but maybe I will be aggravated when they turn out to be mud.. There was also a big set of Ammoilte for sell at the miners coop for $400 I believe I posted a picture in the Denver show thread. Never did run across your Uncle Dick though. Maybe next time get to meet that ornery old rock hound. smile..

Madagascar River. . I think somewhere in Kansas. hehehehe I know where to find a mad woman.. in front of me helping me to improve and be more productive, put away my clothes, my rocks, my guns, and whatever else is fun. grin.. Yep our communal scooter is at Rich's , sometimes Dale, and always wigglinrocks house. Might need to air up some of the balloons if you get lucky enough to find a fat chick.
Kansas ? Can ToTo ride along ? Goin to Walmart to pick up more balloons . Toto can go too too.. Why the heck did you ever name that llama Toto for? Couldn't spell "Tofu" ? We all know that tofu and Llama is a regional delicacy in most of the developing world.

Ha ha yeah shoot I still haven't figured out what to do with the rocks. Trying to focus on collecting while I'm in the area and figure out what to do with them once I'm not. Keep stock piling them Noah till you know what you got. As many as your getting there might be nice piece of granite or sandstone in the batch. If nothing else you can build you a nice rock house. You ever get thatblack powder deer tagged yet> Was that a real moose that you saw the other day or is that big woman still stalking you ?

Git R Done,we have rain here...So its coming your way too (Hopefully).............Remember start talking to the local Oldtimers, they can get you into the door faster (Rock stashes) than a dog on a bone!! Super advice for a lot of reasons. First they got a lot of rock, they know where they got itfrom, they like to pass onto the next generation what their skills and knowledge ehas done for them and theyre too old to not only go hounding but love it when aa young gun comes over to help them move their stuff around, sort rocks, or work on their wequipment. Yep keeps both generations happy and prevents more of the younger people from being lost to being an idiot with a phone in their hands 24-7.

Rich, We do still have that old jet pac that you were going to use to find rocks with. Remember the one that blew aLL THE WATER OUT OF THE RIVER SO WE COULD GET DOWN INTO THAT FORMER TORRENT OF ANGRY WATER AND PICK UP ROCKS AT OUR CONVIENIENCE? Man I still remember . Not sure if I remember how it pushed all those tons of angry water back or the part when it ran out of fuel or the part where the huge wave found us and our 33 buckets of river granite.. The bones are starting to knit now, the scabs have all fallen off but the memory lingers. Hey it was a fun experiment , or disaster , but still fun . All that sandy water sure stung the hide . Oh the memories . My fondest memory was that wall of boulders.. when the paramedics and the track hoe operators dug us out of that that wall of rock, really liked that part.. . Too bad about the llama. Darn things can survive anything. Too bad he was on the bank eating grass. Had great plans for him packing all the rocks huh? Oh well.. another day another broken bone in our never ending quest to find us a rock. uhh two rocks cause we always share,.hehehehe

This is a darn funny thread. Funny?? Funny?? Were old, not gay.. Honey.. How's the world and the wife treating you? Got your buck all cut up and wrapped? Ole wigglinrocks hasn't even cleaned his gun yet I bet. Know he won't use a rock on one. A rock is too precious. When you headed back to North Dakota? Need to get those books, give you something to read on those long Dakota nights. Did that carnelian come in or are you still playing with it? hehehe

That mean we gotta behave ourselves again ? Don't have tp behave to much this is our thread and were not a morbidly obese bully. We mind our own business and help the new people. Not pretend we are special... like Black Beauty..

Yeah , always have 3 or 10 locked and loaded ready for some fun . Army engineers are trained in explosives also , for the late night visitors .

Figure we already did..ou goig to use the old boy's sl;ab saw to cut up that dark agate? Still need some material for the legs up. Saw a lot of different display ideas. Some good.

Think I might be able to cut most of what you sent with my saw . The big saw needs a bit of work , nothing major , but no time for it right now . That big dark agate might about max out the vice on my saw . Hope to make a little rock mud soon . Haven't started the tables yet so there is no rush . Would like to hear some of the good ideas though . Would like to get some Kona Dolomite for the tables .

Only one place to get it. A working quarry and they let rock clubs come in every once in a while. Looked for some rhyolite but didn't see anything nice or reasonable. How about copper pegs looking up? Also on the new news.. Ole Rock blocked obese boy for being a dick. hehehehe Bet ole scotty boy is wonder if I really post that much . serves him right. Have any trouble with him? Can you cut that nice mad river I picked out for you? 7 long x 6 1/2 wide x 3 inches deep. Looks like you want to cut it like a loaf of bread. You really want his one though. Hottest thing on the planet. Have smaller but not nearly as neat. This one is drop dead, wet your pants , pretty.. Also If you had a choice in smokey quartz crystal. Light colored, med or darker? Gonna grind n the little mad rivers and some older Brazilians. When you gonna break out your tumbling rig>.

Was thinking the Kona for the pink color and being soft for quick working . Copper might be interesting . I think I might be able to cut that MRA , if I can't , the big saw will be running before winter . I'll just set it along side Black Beauty til it is butcher time . Oh wait , its time to send BB back to you . Medium on the quartz I think . I think the tumblers might rest this year , just no time to mess with them . Will get the wigglers fired up in awhile though . Just need some cut and grind time . Couple orders to get wiggled .

Yeah rounded copper rod, rounded on the up facing points. Epoxied to the table. When the copper takes on a patina it might be cool. Send Black Beauty back to me before you kill a rock in front of her. Think it would shatter her stony little heart to see her other father kill another rock. Need to get a couple more 15 pound barrels rolling. Just haven't got the time. Accountant is on me again for more paper, more paper. grrr. Hate paper work. Noah was supposed to send you a box of dark prairie agates. For more Tops I think. He's thinking deer hunting and partying and wife and not in that order. Not sure when he's headed back to the Dakotas tho. Will dig thru the rock pile for soft stuff that you can cut legs from. Not sure what would work. cant wait to see how a whole bunch with rocks sitting them will look.
