If memory services me correct, gotta check my invoice
4 or 6 lbs of the Ocean Jasper rough from RockTumbler, didn't weigh the end result yet
~6 weeks total in 60/90 grit TT model B rotary, ran the Ocean Jasper with 4lbs of various red/yellow Jasper, Sunset Jasper, Picture Jasper. After a week, I did start to add the larger ceramic cylinders to fill from the loss of material. 1 to 1 1/2 week was without a slurry. All other steps had a slurry. first 2 weeks, I cleaned everything, each week and started with fresh grit. After the 2 weeks time, I left the 60/90 grit to run for a 2 full weeks before touching again after I was happy with the slurry.
~7 days 150/220 in the Thumblers MB vibe, just the Ocean Jasper, minus about 4-5 pieces that I held back to throw in the second Jasper load. Used about 1.5lbs of ceramic L cylinders. I know I didn't need to leave them in that long, but I am happy with how they turned out and I have more than enough time on my hands. I recharged w/ grit 2x's
~5 days 500 grit in the MB vibe, a bit more ceramic cylinders, didn't weigh, just eyeballed it until I had smooth movement. Recharged 1x
~4 Days of polish in the MB vibe again, replaced the L ceramics with plastic pellets and the 2mm ball ceramics to see how they were. Bought the beads/pellets to use with more fragile stuff down the road. Not a fan of either of them. Pain in the butt to clean, recharged 1x
~about 45 minutes of Ivory soap burnishing. Used the plastic pellets and ceramic beads here as well. I have very hard water where I live.
I started my second load of the remaining Jasper's I had to hold back on Sunday, due to buying the mini bowl vibe. Slurry to me, is easier to do in the vibe. I love how I can just remove the top any time to check on it, hence why I hate the plastic pellets as they start piling out of the vibe, the second you remove the top.
