I somehow missed the picture update 'til now. VERY well done Luminin! That turned out to be a dandy first rock hounding trip. You picked up some very nice material for sure. I'm sure you will be headed back someday now that you know a little more of what to expect and what a day's work can earn ya! Well done - thumbs up!

Large slabbing material is going quick, I only have a little over a dozen pieces left that are bigger than a fist. Plenty of smaller material, though most will need broken up to tumble. First come first serve, plenty left! I'm mostly looking to trade, but if you'd rather I'll sell it for $5/pound and split the shipping (using flat rate boxes).
Message me, even if you're not sure, it never hurts to ask!

I thought I had posted (way back on another thread) that I would take a couple medium FR boxes. Keep me in mind when you make another trip please! What were you selling for per pound? (just curious)

I'm asking $5/pound and splitting shipping. I still have a fair amount, but it's smaller, fist size or so with much that's smaller.

Here's what I have left that's about fist size and up and the largest remaining piece. The largest piece is 9 pounds, 12 ounces. Blue is less than 1 pound. Green is just shy of 1 pound. Red is 1 pound or greater, but none of 2 pounds.

Wow, looks like you have really moved some rock! Successful trip for you. Hope you are getting good trades.
Just curious, but those (2nd pic) aren't the medium Flat Boxes you are shipping in are they?

Yes, the post worker asked about them to, but they didn't have any of the top loading boxes, only the side loading which are a bit annoying to pack. I'd have to drive to another town to pick some up.

You can order them right at your post office and get a box full. Whatever size you want. I have maybe a dozen boxes of different sized Priority Mail boxes up in my garage loft. They don't go bad!
Used to be able to get free tape too. They don't do that anymore. Those were the days!

Luminin , if you are trading, there is no need to split shipping. One person sends as does the other. If you're selling, add the shipping to your total price. It should not be on you to take a hit when you're selling...shipping should not be split. You're doing the buyer a favor by providing material, so charge said buyer for what it costs you to send the material. It's a worthy offer, but usually a buyer pays for the material plus shipping with no cost to you. Don't feel bad about asking a buyer to pay for shipping for material. It's pretty much expected. You don't have to go into the red to accommodate a buyer. That's not just me. That's standard internet fare. Dave

Garage Rocker I don't even know what that is lol! aDave Good to know, I only split it with buyers and it's mostly a courtesy here as I'm new and people might see it as taking a risk with an unknown seller. I don't mind, I'm just happy to get this stuff distributed and seeing what wonders you all come up with it.

captbob that's good info, wonder why they didn't mention that option to me... Truth be told, the look on their faces when I told them it was boxes of rocks... Priceless ROFL! Guess they were trying to discourage me from making them lug around more rocks xD

I don't mind, I'm just happy to get this stuff distributed and seeing what wonders you all come up with it. I truly understand your concern, and it's duly noted. From a personal standpoint, if you've done all you can do to portray the material a particular way, then there's no issue that the buyer should have. Granted, I'm not you, but I'd list any sales of this stuff with pics and then state the shipping. Add that to your sale(s) and go from there. Don't split shipping. You don't owe it to the buyer. They can ask questions if they choose to, and they can also ask for additional photos. You've already had a bunch of posts here with dialogue with normal users, so it's clear your not out to scam anyone. Personally, if I were you right now, I'd just list your sales and the appropriate shipping for those wishing to buy or trade. Don't feel the need to discount that because you are new. That's not fair to you. Really, it boils down to the buyer. Let them do their own due diligence. If you provide an accurate description and photos, it's on them if they have a problem. From a personal standpoint, and I'll state it here, you've been a stand up guy who has communicated without issue with our trade, and I'll support you if there are any perceived hiccups. I don't have that with you, and you've been a great guy to deal with. Hope this helps to some degree. Dave
