From the last week or two. I haven't had time to do very much cabbing. I may have posted a couple before, can't remember. zebra lace: Mel helped ID this.Mexican material. I like the pink spots. plasma agate: This came from a really nice thin slab. Every time I took it to 50k the center undercut. I took it back to 220 3 times and left it at 14k. It's really, really nice in person. I wish I knew how much I loved this material a couple years ago. Ever since Tommy gave me a piece a while back, I have been in search of some just as good. This fit the mold. pinolith: A really big cab. This slab doesn't appear to want to break when I look at it. flame agate: An unknown flame agate with some green moss. The polish is nice. The spots are in the cab. carrasite: From a small but pretty cab. I had to get an ID on this since I mixed up my morrisonite and carrisite. bruneau: GORGEOUS bruno. Very thin, but very nice. Those lines on the bottom are reflections of the light tent opening. Bruno takes such a great polish! LOVE IT! aztec lace: Small royal aztec lace. I'll cab any little piece I get. So pretty. agate: Some kinda agate. Brazilian maybe? I was glad I could save the orange center.

Such beautiful, balanced work as always Tela. Plasma agate is one of my favorite materials. One of the ladies in my rock club wants me to organize a trip to go get some. i don't know that many of them are willing to do the 7-8 hr trip to get there. I would love to come back with a bucket of the stuff. I have a couple softball sized pieces and i use them sparingly for special projects like knife handles.

I wish I had known about it when it was easier to get! It doesn't look in person the way it does in pictures. I never knew it was so dang pretty and deep.

I won't say it is common here is SoCal, but you can usually find some. Sometimes i wonder if it would be worth my while to load up a moving truck with West Coast rocks and do rock shows on the East Coast and Midwest.

At least it is for me.

The pinolith reminds me of skeleton teeth mashed together. I know sounds odd but..lol and the plasma agate is just gorgeous. Very nice as always. I hope when I grow up I can be just as talented as you are ! Great job
