Here are some that I made today: DSC_0707_Today's creations 2 of 2 by Stephan Telm, on Flickr Mahogany obsidian: this stuff is a challenge to photograph when you do get a good polish. Look for individual pic soon Variscite: UL is washed out. Look for individual pic soon Tiger's eye with bands of hematite and tiger iron MH PJ: The fractures are healed, but the healing material undercut. If I want to bother, I'll be removing cerium from the cracks forever. the picture over-emphasizes it. DSC_0706_Today's creations 1of 2 by Stephan Telm, on Flickr Owyhee jasper slablet I've had laying around, begging to be cut and polished forever Owyhee jasper slablet from Roy Mexican crazy lace agate with shadow/parallax agate. Another one I've had forever The same obsidian from pic above I'll post individual pics of most soon, except for the PJ, probably

Super cerium, but I may have to rethink that for things that appear to have small fractures.

Aced them! Thank you, sir! Yes, possibly diamond, or in some cases, just stopping at 14,000. I think the bits of leather also get into the cracks.

Beautiful cabs!! Tiger's eye is a common material but your piece with the iron/hematite is awesome. That's an Australian material called "tiger iron". Not the same as African "tiger eye". And you are 💯% correct. It's awesome!

And you are 💯% correct. It's awesome! The tiger iron I've seen and worked with looks very different. For one, it's very red. The pan also gets a lot dirtier. Do they heat-treat it to get that color, like red tiger's eye?
