Congrats! Those are all works of art but the Malachite are really stunning! Especially the second one. I am sure they will be a big hit.

Kinda like this one that went in to a feeding frenzy. ;D

Yesterday it was a deal at $4.50 lb. and sold for $7.19 lb. no deal. The Apatite was not that clean.

I thought so and I agree with Randy. If you take the total price, with shipping (I am west coast so UPS to me is even higher) and do the math. Sometimes, not often but you can get a good deal.

That rubber band ball really tied itself up good. Must be a very shy rock.

I like rotary. I go with Lortone. I do not like the Thumblers lids and seals. I use a 12QT to get the rough grind and move to the 3A and the 3# CE's. for the rest (don't go with the Chicago Electric unless you like tinkering with machines). My preference and as you said everyone has theirs. Dave.

Does anyone else out there think Astrogalley became Roughsale with a small relocation and name change? The style of the sites are very similar and Astrogallery has been getting smaller and now has nothing. Just curious, Dave.

The kitchen sink in the middle of the first two pics - Do you know what it is? The first pic. looks like it has "fire" in it. Might be the light but you sure got a killer shine there.

You will not be unhappy with your work force. I also went with the Husky once the original wore out. I tried the others and I prefer it to the Hot Dog and the Ridgid (The kerf is thinner but....) and the price is a lot friendlier. As for the lap grinder I went with the Ameritool 8" I do flats with it but you can cab with it as well. I went with the Genie for cabs myself. You are addicted. Face it and move foward. Dave.

The Home Depot "Work Force" is the first saw I got. $88.00 2 years ago. I cut many rocks 2 1/2 and cut slabettes. It still is my favorite trim saw although I do have a Covington 10" trim as well.

The Amber Tree is taking on life! This is so cool. The name that jumps at is me is "Life's Beginning". Probably stupid but that is what came at me. Can't wait to see it finished!

Nice stuff! Just give it a while and you will HAVE to get a bigger saw for bigger slabs. ;D

Good looking preforms. I like the Wonderstone. Be careful it is soft.

I personally do not add anything other than rocks and grit for the rough grinding. I found the "filler" slowed things down. I do use pellets (floaters) in each step after. The ceramic are a pain to dig out in my opinion.

I didn't do it, I was not there, I was not drinking and that's my story and I'm sticking to it. (I see a 12# in your future. It grinds the rough faster) ;D
