I live in an area of arizona where there is almost always a good stiff wind blowing..then problem with it is not stead and we get gust of up to 40 mph like today with 40 plus winds...it would work if it were a power generating wind mill hooked to a battery bank and power inverter like many folks do out here. alot of the homes out here are hooked to solar panels and wind turbines....because there is no powere to these houses. it is just not feasable to have it hooked directly to the windmill even if it had a gear reduction.
well that is my 2 green cents...lol steve

It sucks we can't go hiking much this time of year due to the mohave greens out there. we have already run into 6 of them. nasty little snakes they are..lol steve

slabcabber, I live in oklahoma for now, we live about 30 miles west of eufalla, at holdenville lake you can find fossils, petwood, lots of tube/buld roots that are fossilized. there are lots of neat things in oklahoma to find..but you have to do alot of looking for it. steve

Hi fellow rockers.... I have some inspiration to make a map of the U.S.A. each state will have rocks from that state tumbled, rough, slabbed. ect. in the form of that state. So, I will ask everyone from each state to perhaps set aside a few rocks from your state. pass this along to the folks you know from different states. If you could, please send me a message with what state you are from and any rock donations you could possibly make. and if you could when you send me a package with a note of your name city and state and the area the rocks came from. so I can list your donations and also I can send rocks that I have in return. thanks everyone Happy New Year Steve

I have a tendency to cut alot of circles adn ovals my self as my free forms SUCK !!!! lol my moto is "Hire a handicapper they are funny to watch" that is what it is like for me cutting free forms. lol the sad thing is I am handicapped for real..so it makes it even more funny to watch me...LOL... I do know having nicely cut slabs of approx. 1/4" thick helps tremendously when I am cutting and shaping my rocks. I cannot seem to get the correct thickness or evenness with my work force tile saw and the rocks move and I can only cut small rocks..which limits my ability to shape free forms. good luck and keep on rockin Steve
