I can do Paypal or Venmo or Cashapp or I can do a card over the phone. I have enough to fill all the orders, still some left.
The easiest way is if you send me your email addresses in PM with what you want, then I will send you an invoice, when you pay the invoice then it will also generate a shipping label for me which makes it easier for me to keep shipping straight, so make sure your shipping address is right when you pay the invoice.

I have a friend who mines Idaho Seam agate, he was cleaning out his storage shed and made me a killer deal. I would like to pass that on to you guys if you want some. I made up two types of bags Cutting rough 5# bags of Idaho seam agate rough, larger pieces that will fit into the bag and smaller pieces to get to 5# Tumbling rough 5# bags of Idaho seam agate rough, mostly smaller pieces put into a bucket and weighed out in 5 pound bags. Both bags are $100 each. RTH special is $75 per bag, let me know which type you would like. PS- Due to the overwhelming response, please PM me your email address and what you would like, so I can send you an invoice. This makes it much easier for me to keep the shipping straight. I have quite a bit so mulitples are ok.Photos are from the actual bin these were pulled from. This will be available until I run out or until I can no longer fill bags of worthy material. Tony

Most of that comes from increased shipping/customs costs. A container used to be approx $2000 and now it is approx $20,000-30,000.

You also have to look at the initial investment, Pietersite rough is not cheap and then when you cut it into slabs you turn approx 1/4 of the material into rock sludge so you have to raise the price enough to cover slabbing costs and sludge loss. Then people say that you are over pricing the slab. Most dealers would rather sell than take it home, but selling at a loss is not good business practice either. Customs and shipping has gone way up since Covid, the next Pietersite slabs you see will be even more as the price will have to go up to compensate. Not complaining, just putting my 2 cents in.
(PS- this was not at my booth but I do recognize whose it is)

It was great to see you all! I missed seeing all of you that couldn't or didn't make it.
The hamburger was provided by Rodney, he made a trade of some gem silica for half a beef before he passed, so I brought along the gem silica and Joe brought the half a beef and we finished the trade, we used the beef to feed everyone. Prime Black Angus from Oklahoma. I tried to explain it all there but got a little choked up so it got rushed.
I dont know how many of you remember but Rodney and Jamie hosted the first RTH Burro Creek trip almost 2 decades ago, it was my first real rockhounding trip and kind of got me hooked. He and I were like brothers ever since.
Anyways, looking forward to the next get together, we should do something this summer, we have been getting lax in planning trips the past few years, lets get something in the works!!!

The Nyssa plume is a claim that is owned by the Owyhee Gem Club. You have to first get permission from them to go collect on the claim, and if they ok you, then they will give you directions also.

I have been using the textured J-Bros 80 grit textured wheels on my primary little Cabmate material remover and no complaints there. Want to send some DP wheels to Earth-Brite in Idaho for recoating on the Nova wheels, and maybe a set of rez wheels for the new cabber. Just FYI I have heard from several reports that Kurt does real good on the lower grits, but the higher polish grits have had lower grit contamination in them and leave scratches when you are trying to polish, so for right now I would just go for the lower rough grinding grits. Tony catmandewe please post a list of items needed. I know side dishes are great and firewood is always needed but please post on here other items you may need to make this easier for you! We really appreciate the time and space you put aside for us so let it be known what you need to help you out. It really is pretty informal, I will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, Christopher Anthony stopped by today and said he would bring buns. I will pick up catsup and mustard and probably some pickles. We will grab some lettuce and onions from the produce guy this week. Whatever else you guys are bringing is up to you. There is no set menu and it is hard to wrangle something up on the road so whatever you can contribute or bring is ok with us. Any photos of Ed, Rodney and Vince would be cool, we can make them a part of this gathering. Anyone that passed recently that I am missing? Tony

Diamond Pacific wheels went up again January 1, and the dealer discount went down. Some of the online vendors still have not updated their price lists yet, they may be selling old stock at the old price, but when they run out and have to replace them the price will jump again.
Just fyi if you are looking to get some at the old price.

The DP Genie and the CabPro8 in 6" and 8" are the only three machines I know of that have the ability to swap out the the right hand side for different wheels in mere seconds. It is a very cool feature.

I have several customers who swear by them.
I have never used one myself though, as I have slacked off on making cabs for the past few years.

You can change your flanges, no need to change the arbor. And yes, larger blades need larger flanges.

Does anyone know what the date is for this glorious gathering? The last one was the Friday when the PowWow show was going on. Would that make it January 19th 2024 for this next one? We are planning on going again and looking at booking hotels a bit earlier this time, I think we booked them like a week before the show last time lol. We are looking forward to seeing y'all again and some new faces!! The Powwow is always the 3rd weekend in January and Tony's main bbq has always been that Sat evening. The last few years after Tony's main bbq got very popular and large with several groups participating we started doing a seperate smaller RTH get together on Friday night. I do not know what plan Tony is cooking up for 2024. catmandeweIt has worked good in the past, I think we should keep it the same. Friday for RTH get together and Saturday for the big BBQ Tony

I put a 55 lb sack of 80 grit AO in my 1000 lb tumbler and ran it for 20 days, it came out almost polished, I just had to run it through a vibe polish for a day or two and it was finished. Tony That is pretty much what I am hoping to accomplish…just on a much much much much much much smaller scale. I’m also counting on it taking quite a bit longer. If, after a month, I am seeing what I hope to see I will let it continue. That must’ve been one big vibratory to finish it up lol. Out of curiosity, what was the rock shaping like? Did the aluminum oxide shape and smooth the rock like the silicone carbide does? Or was it a more natural shape. It did some shaping but not as much as the SC does. I had lots of saw scraps in there so just rounding the sharp edges was good enough. Tony

I'm with pebblesky . After getting a QT12-which I am happy with-I have regrets. Wish I went with a high speed Rebel 17 for faster grinding. You could use the 33B for polishing stages in the interim, and work towards also acquiring a vibratory tumbler. That would be my ideal setup. I am not sure if the high-speed Rebel 17 is actually faster in grinding. I remembered somebody did a comparison in high-speed and low-speed Rebel 17, and didn't see too much of a difference in grinding progress - maybe to fully utilize the high speed, one needs to recharge the grit twice a week instead of once a week? The Rebel 17 drum is also much heavier than a QT12 barrel, I guess. The High speed Rebel 17 is designed for tumbling brass cartridges, the low speed Rebel 17 is designed for tumbling rocks. Tony
