Wow! Looks like you're going to be quite busy for a while! I'll keep you in my prayers that your redecorating efforts do the trick to get your house sold.

I have an offer to get a ride to hound Agate Road tomorrow, but I have to pay for gas, lunch, and drinks. Problem is, with all of the hell I've been through this week, I'm flat broke. So...
For your $25, I'll send you a flat-rater with 15 pounds of pick-of-the-haul Agate Road agate, plus 10+ pounds of Johnnie Quartzite and Boysenberry Quartzite. In order to go, I need the money before 6AM tomorrow morning, and I'll need to sell TWO of these batches to do it (my profit is only $15 a batch, since $10 is shipping). I assure you that I'll hook you up WELL if you purchase one or both of these batches.
If you'd like to help me get out to hound, send $25 to my PayPal account, groovatism@hotmail.com, THEN PM me to let me know you've made the purchase. The price includes free Priority Mail shipping within the continental US (I pay the $10.35).
Thanks for your consideration!
Michael

I think he'd be more in-touch if he'd simply pick-up a few newspapers and read them. Heck, even the twisted media hogwash would give him more understanding than the misinformation which he's obviously being fed.

Well, a belated THANK YOU for all of your kind wishes. Due to circumstances beyond my control (my roommate's screw-up and total irresponsibility), my apartment has been without electricity since 6-29, so I've been doing what I can to get through it and getting on friends' internet when I've been able. One way or the other, hopefully the entire situation will be resolved in the next day or two. Other than that, things are actually going well for me, and hopefully the outcome of this present mess will lead to a brighter future, regardless of how it plays out.
My birthday was uneventful, as most hope a birthday will be at my age LOL. I worked 10 hours that day, which was a gift in itself.
((( HUGS TO ALL )))

No time to explain right now, but things have gone a bit haywire the last few days. I need to scrape together cash, so I'm reducing this to $25 and I'll be listing more stuff for sale as soon as I'm able. Hopefully tomorrow (?).

A) Take the blade gaurd off. It's in the way and serves NO purpose. If anything, it's more of a danger.
B) Remove the shiny metal top from the saw. You don't need it. You'll get an extra 1/2" of cutting depth by removing it!

AHHH!!! I see your problems ... the washer and dryer! With your machines on them, the washer and dryer are AMPLIFYING the noise! Just to illustrate my point, try setting your machines on the ground and turning them on. You'll see they'll be much quieter. If your floors are concrete, the noise will be less than if they're wood.
Get four cinder blocks, lay them side-by-side on the floor, with the blocks on top of a couple layers of carpet padding, then put your machines on those. That'll cut-down your noise BIG time!

Cut preforms to run in the vibe between batches of "regular" stones!

SOLD! Thanks Bunches, Julie!
There are many other purple stones, such as Sugilite, Charoite, various agates, etc, but they tend to be pricey. These materials may not be in the same class as that stuff, but it's definately purple, unusual, and very pretty ... not to mention MUCH more affordable. I included a variety of shades and textures of the Johnnie material in this batch, both purple and pink, as you can see in the pics. Since you're particularly intrigued by the purple, I'll select more of the nice purple Johnnie material to fill the box.

Did you rough tumble the material before you put it in the vibe?

Hmmm ... have a look at those veins more closely ... might be hematite. Sounds like you got your hands on some cool, unusual stuff. Definately love to see some more pics if you get the chance! Rhodo is some very interesting stuff.

I'm sorry he died, but I gotta be honest and say that I won't miss his commercials. Nothing worse than trying to chill, watch a little TV, and all of a sudden there's some guy screaming at you, rapid fire. With my luck, the ShamWow guy will get his job. Again, sorry he died, nothing personal.

Erica, if you have a lot of rock, you might consider upping to the UV-18. If memory serves me right, it's only about $50-60 more than a UV-10, but tumbles almost twice as much stone. Since vibes don't use much grit, the on-going expense isn't that much more, either (unlike upping to larger rotaries).
