you guys think one of those product could clean a heavily corroded copper plate? actually I need to scrape heavy corrosion off first looking for fast way to make the copper shine I wonder if acetone make the process go faster ? Ed, the cheapest way is to use a copper cleaner. I buy Cameo brand at Wally's World. It's only a couple of bucks. Cameo, and a wet sponge will do it with a little scrubbing. If you want to work harder salt and lemon juice to scrub it will also work. That's the old fashioned (or eco-friendly way). Robin Figure I’d bring this over here Not hijack that clean thread ha My Wally Hood didn’t have the Brillo Cameo on the shelf That’s good Save me a few bucks Because this corroded whatever it is is like schist metal So I peeled it and it shines a bit better Must have been some original plaque, from long ago, That denoted something and as been neglected My idea is to add ‘copper mostly rock' plaques Someday hope everything is…well… ya knows...

I can understand that Also was my intention, after the Spring flood waters, Churned up the Salt River bottom, to fow little gold panning Of course I work off the theory that the Salt River runs thorough the Superstitions Mountains And we know what legend are lost there. So gold alluvial flows to the lowest spot. And the Hoho sector is certainly low. Beside I was fascinated with left over sand dunes. Which is just saturated w/ gold speckles. I mean serious glitter. So I plan on collecting a jar full of sand and pan some at leisure Fools errand most likely. Butte sure to find a speck of Au Plus I’m not 100% sure why its called the Salt River? Perhaps that what the Hoho thought when the river waters receded & left the banks white w. calcium alkaline? That flooding really did a number on the once fairly green lively mostly dry river bottom. . It going to take awhile for it to recover. I’ll keep exploring… just for your fyi…mostly

yep
long story butte I fond a stash of rock in Papago and some of them had been oiled it was a cool stash so I've started adding to it
then I was talking to Park ranger mentioning the stash she said saw some guy over by bush taking a picture Yeah that was me
we had agneiss chat
then this welder guy showed up named Jasper major rock hound
who welded the vandalized pigeon on the LadMo bench he did such and excellent job and another long story
anyway he handed me some rocks he collected and they were WD oiled
so putting 2 and 2 togather I think he's the Papago rock stasher
he's in for pleasant surprise w/ my additions
anyway I started the hobby by finding small heart shape rhyolyte landscape gravels and spray shellac. Hand them out to clients
its all a long story and little rock rolls a long ways
