Yo jamesp James that was really good tune I given a lot a thought about humans & this technology weave were involved in No major insight at least none that would advance in this medium. Just philosophical meanderings anyway I won’t go on because it to deep and I’m to rocked into my way of thinking to make any progress on the lighter note: a couple things of interest at the Zoo there is tree that as shedding these huge yellow leaves by the fountain the leaves are interesting and I haven't done the research on what type of tree/ leaves they are you probably can inform me ? Butte what was really interesting was watching all the kids grab the leaves and wash them in the fountain, Fascinating. Some ancestral instinct to clean food ? Even more so is how many kids I saw in strollers who are saving these leaves as souvenir. Lots. Certainly something I would do The other thing is< couple weeks ago I got in conversation with 3 out of towners. Rocks came up of course. Asked where they were from ? Georgia. Then fire pits came up> Ha and I gave them your information, Which they seem pretty serious to pursue Anyway that all I got, Notta to much Mostly

do you think its the same parents that come back? maybe the kids come back to the roost? its Ed, the same parents come back to that nesting box during the same year but stats show that there is a 1-in-3 chance that they will return the following year. About a week after the chicks leave I clean out and wash the box then put it back up. Within a month or so afterward they most likely will nest there again. A couple years ago when they were feeding insects to the third clutch I noticed that the mother was the one doing most of the feeding as I didn't see much of the male until late in the afternoons when he would show up with the younger birds that they raised earlier in the year. I counted about 3-4 other younger bluebirds traveling around with dad. You can tell the younger ones by the duller plumage and they would ruffle up their feathers and open their mouths for food even though they were much older. I did see one of the older babies land on the box while the mother was feeding the little ones. that cool Rick wonder what the history of birdhouses are ? they must go way back suppose the birds build nest in there? how long have you had it up? rock on, on course ....
