Thanks Juzwuz. I have met that fellow before, he is a member of the Port Moody club and is a friend of a friend. Since I don't have a saw, I haven't checked out his backyard and everything looks too big for what I need.

You've convinced me to place an order for some crazy lace from the Rock Shed

I mostly tumble larger agates but sometimes jaspers or obsidians. We have two youngish kids so hunting for rocks tends to get put on the back burner but every time I go out fishing, I always check out the water...
Some of the better shows, imho, are the Port Moody (October), the Sullivan Stations tailgate (July), and Bellingham (March, I think). How are the shows on the island? Is there much for Nanaimo?

Thanks everyone.
Re: the olive stone, not sure but it probably came from the Rock Shop as part of their mixed tumbling bags.

Finished up some orange banded agate that we picked up from the Bellingham, WA club show back this past winter. Overall, pleased with the end result. Without the quarter Some of the mixed filler Thanks for looking!! Dan

Have been lurking around the site for quite a while and decided to finally introduce myself. I'm Dan and have been tumbling rocks for close to 5 years now. I prefer larger over smaller pieces but the small fillers often come out nicely. We don't do much in the way or hounding but try to hit some of the local shows and this is enough to feed our hobby.
I don't have much to offer in the way of experience but appreciate all of the advice and instruction that the others share on this site. Next step is to post today's tumbles...
Dan
