This is a mossy yellow Jasper that was found in southern Utah. I cut it into a shield shape and have wrapped it with sterling silver filled wire. Hope you all like it.

Very pretty- and neat. I like how the stone shines through. But, what is a double coil? The S-bend of three wires at the top. Looks like a coil of wire.

From slab to pendant all made by me. The wire is Sterling silver filled square. And finished with the double coil that I have been using so much lately.

These are from a year ago or so, I don't do tumbled stones too often anymore, cabs are just to easy to wrap.

I started or wrapping irregular shaped tumbled stones. I found that square wire was easier to wrap with. And that the black coated wire scraps off very easy, all pliers had to be Teflon coated.i only used the black wire a few times and got so frustrated I never went back.

Yellow/Red Moss jasper that I did a start cab and finished in a rock tumbler. Wrapped in Sterling silver filled wire, and I tried something different with the bail, it's twin intertwining spirals. It's a nice "Twist" đŸ˜€

That is gorgeous. Great prongs. And the embellishment on top is perfect. I can never get my prongs even. Great job. I measure everything from the center of the bottom of the cab and work out from there. Hope that helps.

Michael, Nice work. I'd like to see the back because I can't figure how the cab is held in securely. Lynn The back is an exact replica of the front. The tight wire holds it in place and the prongs keep it from popping out.

Did you collect it. looks like thulite from Ludlow, I still have about 300 pounds of it No I bought the slab at a rock show, couldn't resist pink and green are rare in southern Utah.

Your prongs are nicely done, great jobon the wrap. Interesting material but I'd be more inclined to call it thulite rather than lapis since lapis brings to mind a blue stone at least in my mind that is. Folks in another group kept calling it Nevada Lapis, and said their father owned a mine, so I called it Lapis.

Actually there is lapis in Nevada. My great grandfather used to find it at some mine here in Nevada, but he passed away without ever revealing to anyone where it was. All I know is that is was somewhere up North. It is a shame when knowledge is lost

Thulite and epidote or Nevada lapis is the trade name. Either name, it is a very good looking pink and green cab. The wire is Sterling silver filled.

Just stunning! Working with the small earring stones must have been frustrating. I can see them flying across the room several times Well done! They worked out better than I had expected.
