I'm talking about the botswana agate, lapis lazuli, and malawi blue chalcedony. All of those you could get several small slabs from. I'm pretty sure with my packaging you would have known if the USPS opened the box. Paper tape is impossible to remove without leaving evidence. (It forms a chemical/mechanical bond with the cardboard.)

The stones I put in were all good cutters. Trim saw sized cutters, but still high grade, quality stones for cutting.

I finally got a chance to open the box out and swap out goodies. I ended up needing 3 rounds of taking stuff before the stuff I was adding would fit. It's a tight little box for everything that goes in it! My removals (after the first 2 tries): Things I could identify were - Peanut jasper, black onyx, a royal imperial jasper nodule, picasso stone, apache gold, crayola jasper, purple passion, some cedar creek agate, and some other unidentified agate nodules. Most of the slabs on the cardboard did not appear to be properly labeled, so I just cleared the whole panel. Things I added: Slabs -> Indonesian Moss Agate, Indonesian "Red Palm Root" (actually, studies have since shown this is actually fossilized maggot larva... way cool!), Indo. Purple chalcedony, larimar, shattuckite from the Congo, a slab of Indonesian opalized wood, jade slab, mtorolite, spiderwoman jasper, Chrysocolla/Shattuckite with hematite from the Congo, Laguna Lace agate, 3 slabs of howardite. Rough -> Malawi blue chalcedony, Afghan Lapis Lazuli, Chrysocolla-shattuckite from Namibia, Mtorolite from Zimbabwe, and some Botswana agate nodules from Botswana. I did end up having to pull a few more things out, so I grabbed these: Socal Lavic and petrified wood and a few "prairie agates". fernwood , I should be getting this out to you tomorrow morning.

Yes, at the moment all of my slabs are in Quartzsite, so I've taken them off my website. They'll start being repopulated next week.

Hey Everybody, I've got a limited amount (~100 pounds remaining) of Norwegian Thulite available for sale. Price is $24/lb for 1-5 lbs, $21/lb for 6+ lbs. This is really nice, solid material, and is one of the best pinks you can get from a rock. Thanks for looking! Jeff

rxscram - I thought I posted previously but I wanted to say even though I'm trying really hard to not buy any more rocks, I really enjoyed your website. To be honest I went into it prepared to experience the usual ho-hum of a rock website but your's is high functioning and efficient. Thank you!! It took me several different attempts before I got it to where it is now. I'm glad all the work has resulted in a pleasant user experience. Thanks again!

Great deal! Now my wife will have some Pietersite cabs to set. Also, I found your website very easy to navigate and seamless between the cart and checkout. Pretty slick for new customers to add an account too. I use FireFox. Thank you! Michael Thanks Michael! And thanks for the feedback on the site, it's always nice to hear when things are working!

Giving this a small bump. (Please let me know if that's discouraged! I didn't see any guidelines saying not to, and I'm going to try to not be obnoxious with it.)

Checked it out, but prices are way more than what I have paid in the past for similar materials. I understand the time and expense that went into these, but am on a limited budget. What do others think? Well, I have bought from him a couple times and I got extremely good quality. This is a great sale and I for one will take him up on it. rxscram- I was only able to have one thing in the cart at the same time. Thanks Tela! That's not good!! Can you try using a different browser, that' the first time I've heard of this problem. (What browser are you using, I want to research this.)

Hi Everybody! I wanted to show my appreciation for Rock Tumbling Hobby, so I've created a sale on my website that will give you 25% off any purchases if you use the coupon code "RTH25OFF" (no quotation marks). I'll keep this going through 11/18/2018. I've got a lot of really high end material, rough, slabs, finished goods, etc. Pietersite galore! Thanks for looking! Jeff EDIT - Sorry, I forgot the direct link to the store: www.barnhouselapidary.com/online-store

So now, I can sell gold filled wire as just flat out gold. Legally. Whenever I buy anything gold now there's no telling what the content is and what I am paying for. Unless people still want to stamp it, but why would they? Stupid people will buy something cheap that is just called gold. Why bother with anything else. This just pisses me off. Think of all the Chinese crap that will be .01% gold which will be charged as if it were ACTUALLY gold. Actually, gold or silver plated objects are more restrictive than they used to be: "The previous Guides required only gold-plated items to be disclosed. Now, coatings of silver and platinum must also be disclosed (e.g., “sterling silver plated” or “850Pt. Plated”). The Guides also state that sellers should disclose the purity of the coating if it is under 24k gold, 925 ppt silver, or 950 ppt platinum."

It's not as bad as you all are making it... the fineness of the gold/silver has to be disclosed in at least as conspicuous a way as the word "gold" or "silver". From the article linked above:
" The FTC removed the thresholds for gold and silver alloys. It now says sellers can use gold terms to describe a product (or part thereof) composed throughout of gold alloy, regardless of karat, if they qualify the term with an equally conspicuous, accurate karat fineness disclosure.
“You can have 8k gold and use the word ‘gold’ as long as the fineness is disclosed,” says Sara Yood, senior counsel for the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) in New York City.
The term “silver” can now be used to describe a product or part composed throughout of an alloy containing less than 900 ppt silver, as long as the term is accompanied by an equally conspicuous, accurate designation of the item’s silver content.
However, the Guides recommend a 925 ppt threshold for the terms “solid silver,” “sterling silver,” “sterling,” and the “Ster” abbreviation, while reserving “coin” and “coin silver” for products that are 900 ppt silver."
