Pretty cool material and history, I say slice one and cab it up and save the rest. x2. Cab a piece and keep it with the original block and note. Would make a great display!

Tommy I get stupid over yellows. Great pieces! fantastic5 what in the world do you think formed the yellow in the bertrandite? Btw missed ya woman! Other than the location of where it can be found, I really don't know much of anything about bertrandite. I saw my first piece in a rock shop in Delta Utah. But that was mostly purples. The owner told me the only place it can be found in the world it can be found is a beryllium mine just past Topaz Mountain. As we were leaving Topaz we drove up that way to see if there was any access to spoils piles, but we couldn't find any. How was you and your sisters trip to Utah? When are you heading this way again?

Those are really cool looking. Would that be considered flotsam or jetsam? I can never remember which one is not organic.

I'm a late comer, but that Peanut is off the charts! The others are fabulous, but I never even would have guessed it was an obsidian. Beautiful all!

I really don't know much about Tiffany stone, but the circular pattern looks to be ground zero for whatever caused the breccia.
Fantastic bunch of cuts. Money well spent!!!

Had to look this one up. Common to south eastern US. Can't believe I've never seen one. Can grow to the size of a hot dog! Turns dark as they age. And harmless.

We find that guy on our crab apple tree in the front yard. I've always liked caterpiggles. Have an audubon book of caterpillars right next to the bird identification book. Truth is, I did have to google it, cuz I was at work and I had just been calling it the bristled moth guy. A few aren't a problem, but we had a bunch one year and they really caused trouble for the tree. Its unusual to find a bird or caterpillar that I haven't seen before around my house. But I did see a bird last month that had me jumping up and running out front. My husband thought I was crazy at first...then he just realized I was looking at a bird. I had never seen this guy before a Hooded Warbler. (not my picture) This guy was my favorite unusual moth that I have seen at my house to date. Imperial Moth. He's quite big like 4+ inches across.
