I like ocean jasper spheres, so much variety in color and patterns. Purchased these, have many more and always looking for more, kinda addictive.

omigosh! how beautiful! Great color and form. Tell us more... where they came from( self hounded?) and what you will do with them? Hi snowmom. These rocks are washed down from the hills and I collect them on my morning walks. They are mostly used as landscape rock.

Orbs floating in moss agate. Second pic is a fist size rock with jasper on right and moss agate on left, poppies near top with white centers are only poppies on entire rock.

Found some Poppy Jasper in my backyard while rearranging rock piles. They hard to see poppies of the flower orb type. 2 poppy rocks sitting on a poppy boulder, all from area54. Close up of Panoche boulder

I like the creek bed to the far right of area54, above and around the areas where boulders stack. You'll need a rock hammer. There is poppy jasper all over a54, often find pj on top of ridges as the soil wears away to show the color/texture. Happy hunting!

Thanks Stephan- Kicked this rock out of the way to pick up another and noticed the poppies when I got close to the ground.

Beautiful stone. What's unusual about it? Unusual in that it has a few micro poppies. I have other samples of this type, without the poppies.

Very nice! I could never find that stuff, since a lot of it is confined to private property. Helps to live here in poppyland. I can see one outcropping from upstairs (though their best friend asked for me, rejected collecting), and several more walking distance. No access for me so far there either. Luck has given me a friend and neighbor with a large ranch in an excellent location.
