You can hound Graves Mountain, Savanna Agate, Hogg mine tourmaline, rose quartz, aquamarine, Alabama chert and flint. On Ebay Check out Escirocks. On here pm, Catmandew, Roy, Kap( he is in Ga too), list on and on! Search thru old for sale on here then pm them. You need to be proactive! Thanks orrum, I will take this advice. Searching through old "for sale" lists and be more proactive on this front. COPD - so hounding is out, but the sale lists will be a good source. thanks again.

After many months of looking for material (rough and slabs) to work, it occurs to me to ask here: Is there any place east of the Mississippi that sells lapidary rough? I am a little frustrated at seeing a beautiful $4 rock and being asked to pay $16 shipping to me in middle Georgia. Any place? Thanks!

These are very good. I especially like the sodalite and ammolite! And I would love to see your wraps from the side and back view also. I've been wrapping for almost a year and have very few that I am proud of. Am using silver plated craft wire and can not seem to get the "hang" of it. Using tutorials and YouTube videos hasn't helped and am just frustrated. I'll not give up but boy this learning curve is way steeper than I thought it would be. Thanks again for sharing.

Very pretty, very "out of the box" - I like that these are truly unique and show off your talent at seeing the possibilities of utilitarian and beauty.

Great advice rocks2dust! I'll do some research in tesserae and mosaic techniques. This gives me a good place to start. I appreciate your input. thanks

I have several small pieces of broken Chrysocolla-Shattuckite from recent cuts and a post I read this morning made me think: Can I grind (mortar and pestle) these small pieces and then mix the powder with some 330 > to make a composite stone? Anyone with experience in this area? Any and all responses are welcome. thanks, Don

These are wonderful. Between you and Tommy : I just want to give up! Then I remember - its not a competition and just looking at y'alls results gives me something to aim for. Beautiful work - I particularly like the Mary Ellen and Red Lace. thanks

Thanks to all who have ordered - lets see some slab pics! Just finished 3 slices (one is an end cut) of the first Brazil Agate from your "find" and it is beautiful - black and white with some fortification (?) bands. Extremely hard stuff ! Has a great shine and I am thrilled. Will post some photos when I have more ready. Hate to bring out the camera for just these three. But they are really pretty. Thanks

I have some Shattuckite (from Barnhouse) and it is beautiful. Also have some Sonora Sunrise ordered. Can't wait. As far as the Cat Pee smell - I would find another rock - lol. Thanks for the photos! dj

Help ..... is one kind of cerium oxide better than others for polishing agate cabs? I have looked and see so many brands. I just get baffled. I baffle easily but this is ridiculous.
My frustration is with not knowing if I am getting the BEST shine on agate (and jasper). It may be that I am and that will be ok. Also I have a piece of Noreena Jasper that I am sure will take a better shine than I have now. It's pretty but should be better. Thanks again, Don
As usual: Any and All Advice is Welcome.

Watched about 30 seconds of the vid and it just bothered me. I have the "off" button and used it. This is a very friendly forum and if you take the time to 'fit in' you might find that out. Jumping in to sell or trade is rude. Maybe that's just Minnesota rude. We have rude in Georgia too but they are usually politicians. Attitude!
