They do have a tendency to surprise you. A big reason I am enjoying cutting rocks.

Nice present. Do you have any tentative plans for it? looks like a slab and cab piece. Will get several slabs out of it.

It has made it up to 10 F here in Ks. Started out at 1 F this am. Wind chill is currently at 0 F. I don't think I am going to play outside today. (When I was a kid I lived in North Dakota for a bit. This would be great weather to play in as a youngster. My dad and I had our pictures in the paper for running the dogs in the golf course across from our house when it was -100 F with wind chill.)

Panning gold near an old ball mill we found lots of mercury. Enough to fill a medicine jar and a small amount of gold. What I really wish I still had was the iron balls from the mill I found. As artifacts they are probably worth more than anything else we found.

I don't know how I slipped under the radar with this. Very nice mix of material.

More nice ones. Like the 1st one. Most of my moss agate is packed with moss so I like the ones that really show it off.

That is a monster, would need a fork lift to move it.

Pretty! Is the plume in the agate on the bottom/right copper? I misread that. It is not copper, it is a dark brown plume and very soft.

Bottom left is awesome, but they are all great! I like the N. Have to decide if it stands for Go Big Red (Nebraska) or Norman (my first name)

Yup, I was just going to say, "Sweet Stone Canyon!" I guess it could theoretically be something else too though. I would go with Stone Canyon. Sure makes great cabs.

Probable bearing failure. Knowledgeable people could fix easily.

Pretty! Is the plume in the agate on the bottom/right copper? It is the third one across on the bottom row. DSC00756 by ngboettch, on Flickr
