Wow. That is not rock hounding. That is intense, specific selection of some amazing pieces. Thank you. The past couple months have been a major learning curve. Much more of that curve to go. Can't wait to get back out there and dig through some more rocks.

We're definitely interested in that area and ponds. Have to take a look 5223 CO-348
Olathe, CO 81425
The field and the land to the east of it around the big pond. All the way to the gravel drive to the big house and huge shop are the neighbors. Two one acre parcels have been carved of the west side for a new home and the other is a pest control lady.
Looks like a cool place. We'll find time when you heal up to go look

After Bundy ranch I stopped asking the BLM for permission. I have a few spots. Olathe has always been interesting. I'd like to look at those places if you're selling them for top dollar...lol One of those has a big pond, backs up to a million dollar home. No covenants. Good irrigating water. Can be between 3 and 14 acres with property line adjustment. Best is either a 4 acre piece or a 10 acre piece. 4 mile corner. Have them listed. Google themand see t it on google earth. Be a good building site and peaceful and quiet. No one messes with you with bigger land. Can show them to you. Listed in the MLS. Cheap. 125 or so. Might consider carrying one for you on 5 year balloon with a decent down. Just sold a 5 plus acre horse property. BAcked up to a river like the nursery property. They found asbestos in old house took a 8 k plus or minus hit but it will close in a week or so. Good report on your other material. Said you hit the mother lode. Pm him if you want further info and atta boys.
We're definitely interested in that area and ponds. Have to take a look

Just need to put the ball out at 1,000 yard and shoot it with my long range setup. It won't hit it too hard. Thinking of wrapping aluminum foil around the ball to protect it from flash burn and putting tannerite in front of targeting location for effect. Leave the whole package in the ball bag it came in. Should be fun. Have to shoot it either at the nursery or at a couple properties I own west of Olathe. Cant shoot an explosive like that on BLM land anymore. Have a fun friend that is a neighbor to those properties and he's got a 50 cal to admire and maybe shoot.

I've got those picks, digging bars, wedges and sledge hammers. You say when and we'll hit the road. Headed back Tuesday night. Rivers should be down a bit from high flow. Gonna be some good picking. If you can roll by tomorrow after noon. We'll go get you some fluorite. 2ish or a bit earlier. Have a meeting to sign papers at the relator's tomorrow in morning and have to keep the crew moving along on the fall production. . I have get this muzzleloader sighted in. There is a buck deer out there with my tag hanging. He just doesn't know it yet.

I always forget something. Next time I come out I'll load up a bunch sub sonic loads we can go whisper to some prairie dogs about digging holes. Maybe I leave it there for awhile. You remember that purdy bowling ball setting in the kitchen? Will load her up with some dry ice to get cold and brittle and then shoot er with one of our big guns. Maybe that 7.65 with a hot load but then again we don't want to pick up the "bowlerite" we make in the next county. Can that purdy little wife of your take a video? Molly won't do it if you don't give her more attention. How you get such a drop dead beautiful woman to marry you? .. Just need to put the ball out at 1,000 yard and shoot it with my long range setup. It won't hit it too hard.

Those rocks are telling me that the rock crushing Companies are setting up on both sides of the Yellowstone and Little Missouri Rivers in that area... Some cool material is being dug up and crushed and or found from earth moving and walking the wide open ND prairies... Noah has struck rock gold in them there flats.....Good for him, good for him!!!!! I never seen material that good in the patch when I was oilfielding,NEVER! They do appear to be bringing rock from all over. The regions has pretty well run out of scoria for the roads and they have switched to gravel. There is still plenty of scoria in places but not so much in the pits where they can harvest it. Some of the pieces that go through the crusher are almost as heartbreaking as cliffs 10# hammer and shattered rock pile for his tumbler. I've made it to Sidney to pick a couple spots on the river and recognize the rock from there. I'm interested in which ones come from the little Missouri? Thanks for the reassuring words on the collection, being a newbie I wonder if I'm grabbing something worthwhile or if I'm hauling leverites.

I made it two years in the Santa Barbara Channel fishing rock cod and seasbass. Loved the sea, didn't care for the culture. As for that sun I think I should have worn more sun screen. I'll be down like my grandfather getting chicks cut off me for the rest of my days. Love eating those fish. Haven't shot a fish for a few years. even as great as diving is there are things that are more fun. I like diving for megladon teeth a lot. Giant shark teeth and other neat fossils in the Bone Valley formation in Florida or kayaking down the Peace River and screening the gravels for fossils. Haven't shown you my fossils yet huh? I have my free diving gear still. I do some messing around in Florida each spring.

That's pretty stuff there Cliff. I should have checked that out while I was there. Kind of get dizzy with all of the cool rocks around your place. Noah You were dizzy from 2 days of partying.. grin.. Yeah its hard when you only have a few days for the family and have to get right back to work and a few states away don't help. Hope another job opens up locally but you are making that good money and don't get as much honey. Those cold beers on days off are hard to keep full. That back home job will come soon. Just have to keep chasing it.

Ex Noah, did the boat thing for 25+ years. Decided I had had enough a few years back. Over being in the Florida sun all day every day. Would rather hoard rocks - in the shade! Your tires are fine Cliff. For a 5' tall girl's truck. Just figured you needed messin' with. I made it two years in the Santa Barbara Channel fishing rock cod and seasbass. Ha good times Cliff, glad to see you again. Thanks for the help sorting and the education on those stones. Looking forward to getting back up there with a more dicerning eye. As for that pink bike I'd go for something else. When my baby girl starts crying daddy get emotional too. Thanks again for cool rocks as well. Got that crazy lace on display in the dining room. You got crazy displayed in your smile too Noah.. Grin.. When you have to back to Dakota? If it don't get you divorced we can make a run to the Hotchkiss area and break up some 3 ft diameter red boulders for some fluorite crystals.
I've got those picks, digging bars, wedges and sledge hammers. You say when and we'll hit the road. Headed back Tuesday night. Rivers should be down a bit from high flow. Gonna be some good picking.

I hear if you trip Cliff you don't have to run as fast. That might only be with angry bears but you know what I'm saying. Hey Noah.. You have how many rounds in that magazine?? You're just sportin us along for a source of cheap targets. What's the rifle you're holding? Also the one lying there that you were going to give me but must have forgot. hehehh

That's a gooder for sure...if it were me I would stick in a muratic acid bath to take out the calcite, I can almost guarantee you there is botroyoidal under it...but risk us the calcite may be holding things together...as is is you did that piece right. Cheers Thanks Andy but have screwed up other rocks and was afraid. The iron out caused the pretty and thin threads of calcite to drop off. HAve pictures of it also. Here's a larger piece I have that is real typical, plain jane. Just no comparison to the two. Size isn't everything.. my motto for all my life.. grin.. Need to drag ole rockdunker up to Aden Wyo and put him to digging.
I dig rocks, that's how I got here!

Which one of us will distract him while the rest go for the rocks? Man there are some amazing stones there! Hard to believe they are real! I hear if you trip Cliff you don't have to run as fast. That might only be with angry bears but you know what I'm saying.

WOW , some sweet rocks he is picking . Tell him he will need more artillery than that to keep me from the rocks . The 300BLK is right next to me. I have more just right there. Pretty sure the G17 was somewhere nearby. I always lose those damn guns and find them again. I guess I might have too many. Blahahaha no such thing. We picked some out to send to you. Hope you get some use out of them when you get done pounding nails and loading all of that wood up.
